Porque cada vez que me sentaba en mis muebles a ver televisión, me chocaba visualmente el cable que se veía detrás del televisor, el cual le pasa la señal de la televisión por cable hacia el cuarto de mi hijo.

Ese cable rígido y grueso ahí colgando arqueado me molestaba; intenté fijarlo inicialmente con celoven, pero se despegaba. Intenté con un celoven del más grueso y ocurrió lo mismo; intenté ponerle un clavito y no funcionó, así que recordé que hace unos años en una casa donde viví le compré una canaleta que es especial para esconder los cables. Esta trae como una pega con una cinta doble fas, la cual se adhiere a la pared y hace que se mantenga fija.
Sin embargo, cuando la logramos fijar en la pared, la canaleta se trajo el pedazo de pintura y quedó en el aire; mi esposo, como pudo, la fue fijando con otra cinta doble fas que teníamos y así resolvimos. Ruido visual controlado.
Otra de las reparaciones en las que he estado trabajando es en mi porche. Luego de hacer mi nueva entrada y convertir mi apartamento en una casa, han surgido muchos arreglos que no me esperaba. No solo fue instalar la puerta, sino un listado de cosas por hacer que han derivado de ese trabajo.

Another repair I have been working on is my porch. After making my new driveway and converting my apartment into a house, a lot of fixes have come up that I didn't expect. Not only was it installing the door, but a to-do list of things that have stemmed from that work.

Pero esto no era lo peor, porque al llover yo rápidamente desconectaba todo, sino más bien que, como vivo en un edificio, lo que abundan son las palomas. Al principio me parecían adorables, hasta que se volvieron una plaga.
Entonces, como vivo en un edificio y en los cuatro pisos que tengo encima hay muchos lugares que sirven para albergar a las palomas, cuando llueve, todo lo que entraba a mi casa eran sus excrementos, y cuando dejaba de llover, el olor a pájaro mojado no se aguantaba.

Otra cosa que quería solventar es que cuando llueve con mucha fuerza, en la pequeña placa que tiene mi entrada nueva, se me estaba filtrando, así que yo misma preparé una mezcla de cemento y, aprovechando la escalera que había conseguido, puse a mi hijo Danielito a que me echara una capa de cemento dónde se estaba filtrando.
Porque aunque no se veían grietas ni nada, el agua se pasaba. Esperamos un buen palo de agua de esos que caen en Maturín para probar el techo y el arreglo de la plaquita.
Este trabajo de la placa lo hice antes de instalar el techo. Así barrimos toda la placa y sacamos toda suciedad de allí, para luego instalar el techo. Resolví el tema del agua de paloma con respecto a mi puerta nueva y la entrada de la casa; ahora faltan otras por resolver, porque aunque ya no se me moja la pared y la puerta, sigo teniendo el problema con estas benditas palomas.
