Remodelación de la sala (Esp/Ing)

El hogar debe sentirse como el lugar adecuado para, más allá de resguardarse, descansar, crear y aprender, entre otras actividades que realizamos de forma habitual, por ello, tal espacio debe ser confortable en todos los sentidos. Y es que cada rincón de la casa se convierte en un reflejo de lo que somos, es decir, nuestra personalidad y carácter pueden reflejarse en el diseño, colores y objetos que forman parte de la convivencia.

The home should feel like the right place to, beyond shelter, rest, create and learn, among other activities that we perform on a regular basis, therefore, such space should be comfortable in every way. Every corner of the house becomes a reflection of who we are, that is, our personality and character can be reflected in the design, colors and objects that are part of the coexistence.

Nuestra sala tenía un tono amarillo intenso en las paredes, el cual le quedaba muy bien, pues este color estimula la comunicación y aportaba la iluminación perfecta. Este color genera sensaciones agradables y positivas, sin embargo, teníamos un problema de filtración en las paredes y, además, la pintura había envejecido, así que por lo tanto, debía reparar para pintar. Sin duda, arreglar la filtración es prioritario, se debe realizar un trabajo minucioso, pues hay que curar el techo de platabanda para colocar un nuevo manto.

Our living room had an intense yellow tone on the walls, which suited it very well, because this color stimulates communication and provided the perfect lighting. This color generates pleasant and positive sensations, however, we had a leakage problem on the walls and, in addition, the paint had aged, so therefore, it had to be repaired to paint. Undoubtedly, fixing the leakage is a priority, a thorough job must be done, as the platabanda ceiling must be cured in order to put a new mantle.

Trabajé durante unos años como ayudante de albañil, así que tengo cierta experiencia en el ramo de construcción. En lo que respecta a la pintura, y como base para sanar una pared, aprendí a elaborar una mezcla a base de agua, sábila, cal y sal que ha resultado muy buena para este tipo de problemas. Ese preparado debe dejarse macerando tres días, tiempo suficiente para raspar con espátula la pintura vieja y rellenar con estuco las imperfecciones y orificios de antiguas remodelaciones.

I worked for a few years as a mason's helper, so I have some experience in the construction industry. As far as paint is concerned, and as a base to cure a wall, I learned how to make a mixture of water, aloe, lime and salt that has been very good for this type of problem. This preparation should be left to macerate for three days, enough time to scrape off the old paint with a spatula and fill with stucco the imperfections and holes from old remodeling work.

Una vez que la pared esté lista para recibir la base, se aplica con brocha y se deja secar de 24 a 48 horas. Mi esposa y yo optamos por este color ya que transmite mucha tranquilidad. Ahora la sala luce inmaculada, con una agradable iluminación tanto de día como de noche.

Once the wall is ready to receive the base coat, it is applied with a brush and left to dry for 24 to 48 hours. Then we proceed to paint with a roller, in this case one gallon of white was enough for the whole room, and we took advantage of it to reinforce the tone. My wife and I opted for this color because it conveys tranquility. Now the room looks immaculate, with a pleasant illumination both day and night.
