Se acerca uno de los momentos mas esperados durante la temporada navideña, y esa es la cena de noche buena, o cena de Navidad. Momento en el que nos reunimos en la mesa con nuestros seres queridos a esperar el nacimiento del niño Jesús, y así como decoramos nuestra casa para esta temporada especial, la decoración de la mesa para la cena de noche buena es igual de especial.
Muchos trasladan la decoración de la casa a la mesa, en cuanto a, colores y estilo se refiere, para crear cierta uniformidad en todo el ambiente, pero esto depende de muchas cosas como por ejemplo, el tamaño de la mesa, la cantidad de comensales, si vamos a presentar los platos ya servidos o si vamos a servir en la mesa y dejar los alimentos disponibles por si alguno desea servirse nuevamente sin necesidad de levantarse de la mesa, etc.
En cualquier caso pienso que lo más importante es disfrutar la cena con la mayor comodidad posible, y para eso tengo algunos tips que pongo en práctica, y que hoy los comparto con ustedes.
MIS TIPS PARA LA MESA NAVIDEÑA
Menos es más
Una de las cosas más importantes a la hora de servir la mesa, es la comodidad, el que los comensales puedan moverse con absoluta libertad, sin temor a derribar o tropezar con algo en cualquier momento, por lo que colocar en la mesa lo estrictamente necesario es esencial, sobre todo si tenemos niños pequeños con nosotros, o si tienen manos torpes como las mías (risas).
Los pequeños detalles hacen la diferencia
No necesitamos llenar la mesa con grandes e incómodas decoraciones que nos restan espacio, bloquean la visión y limitan nuestros movimientos, en su lugar, optemos por detalles pequeños pero llamativos, como por ejemplo algunas velas distribuidas a lo largo de la mesa, identificaciones creativas para los platos de cada comensal, una vajilla navideña, o un camino de mesa, serán detalles más que suficientes para darle un toque especial a tu cena de navidad.
Haz lo que te funcione
La cena de Navidad es para disfrutarla. Ya de por si ese día es lo suficientemente agitado y agotador como para que el momento de la cena suponga más estrés y cansancio. Para mí es como "Ok, terminamos", así que lo que menos quiero es estar de un lado a otro, por lo que en mi caso llevo todo a la mesa, eso sí, las hallacas ya sin las hojas, el pan de jamón cortado en rodajas, y todo listo para que cada quien se sirva lo que desee sin necesidad de levantarme de la mesa una y otra vez. Lo siento, no soy la mejor anfitriona!
Y bueno amigos, estos son mis tips navideños para la mesa de noche buena. Como ven, en mi caso, lo más importante es disfrutar el momento junto a mis seres queridos, y aunque doy toques especiales a la mesa esa noche, todo es bastante sencillo para poder comer con total tranquilidad. De hecho, desde noviembre tengo un centro de mesa que hice con guirnaldas y adornos navideños, que el día de la cena retiro para poder comer en sana paz.
¿Los detalles que uso? Un camino de mesa con toques navideños, una linda vajilla, vasos de cristal, los cubiertos para ocasiones especiales y todas esas cosas hermosas que tenemos guardadas solo para oportunidades puntuales. Es el momento para desempolvar nuestros tesoros y hacer lucir nuestra mesa.

MY TIPS FOR THE CHRISTMAS TABLE
Less is more
One of the most important things when it comes to serving the table, is comfort, the diners can move with absolute freedom, without fear of knocking over or tripping over something at any time, so placing on the table what is strictly necessary is essential, especially if we have small children with us, or if they have clumsy hands like mine (laughs).
Small details make a difference
We don't need to fill the table with large and uncomfortable decorations that take away space, block our vision and limit our movements, instead, let's opt for small but striking details, such as some candles distributed along the table, creative identifications for the plates of each diner, a Christmas tableware, or a table runner, will be more than enough details to give a special touch to your Christmas dinner.
Do what works for you
Christmas dinner is to be enjoyed. Already that day is hectic and exhausting enough without making dinner time more stressful and tiring.For me it's like "Ok, we're done", so the least I want is to be on the go, so in my case I bring everything to the table, yes, the hallacas without the leaves, the ham bread cut into slices, and everything ready for everyone to serve themselves whatever they want without having to get up from the table over and over again. Sorry, I'm not the best hostess!
And well friends, these are my Christmas tips for the New Year's Eve table. As you can see, in my case, the most important thing is to enjoy the moment with my loved ones, and although I give special touches to the table that night, everything is quite simple to be able to eat with total tranquility. In fact, since November I have a centerpiece I made with garlands and Christmas ornaments, which I take down on the day of dinner so I can eat in peace.
The details I use? A table runner with Christmas touches, nice china, crystal glasses, cutlery for special occasions and all those beautiful things that we have saved only for special occasions. It's time to dust off our treasures and show off our table.
