Previously I had taken you with me to a super market that recently opened near my house, which is called ‘Maxi mercado’ in that post I told you that it had good prices and that it was also a very nice place. Today I want you to come with me to another super market where I go regularly because I also like its prices and the comfort it offers to its customers, going to this place is really a good option to stretch the budget.
Anteriormente yo los había llevado conmigo a un super mercado que se inauguró recientemente cerca de mi casa, el cual se llama "Maxi mercado" en ese post yo les comenté que tenía buenos precios y que además era un lugar muy bonito. El día de hoy quiero que me acompañen a otro super mercado al voy con regularidad porque también me gustan sus precios y la comodidad que ofrece a sus clientes, ir a este lugar realmente es una buena opción para estirar el presupuesto ¡Acompáñenme!
The supermarket is called ‘La Granja’ (The Farm) and I am amazed at how many branches there are all over Valencia (my city in Carabobo State, Venezuela) there are many branches in every cardinal point and the truth is that I like it a lot because it is full of different products that I use daily and they have very good prices, this time I went to one in the northern area and it is much bigger than the other branches I have visited.
El supermercado se llama 'La Granja' y estoy asombrada de la cantidad de sucursales que hay en toda Valencia (mi ciudad en el estado Carabobo, Venezuela) hay muchas sucursales en cada punto cardinal y la verdad es que me gusta mucho porque está lleno de diferentes productos que uso a diario y tienen muy buenos precios, esta vez fui a una en la zona norte y es mucho más grande que las otras sucursales que he visitado.
The only thing that I did not find at a good price in this supermarket and that I could find in maximercado was the powdered milk, which was only available here in 1 kilo presentations and is much more expensive, while in maximercado you can find from 200 grains and upwards.
Lo único que no encontré a buen precio en este supermercado y que sí pude encontrar en maximercado fue la leche en polvo, aquí solo había en presentaciones de 1 kilo y es mucho más costosa mientras que en maximercado puedes encontrar desde 200 gramos en adelante.
I love the vegetable section because the products are very fresh and clean, everything is well organised, but the best thing of all is the price, for example the kilo of tomatoes is 25 Bolivares (0.67 $) and the onion is 20 Bolivares (0.54 $).
Amo la sección de verduras y hortalizas porque los productos están muy frescos y limpios, todo está bastante organizado, pero lo mejor de todo es el precio, por ejemplo el kilo de tomates está a 25 Bolívares es decir a unos 0.67 $ y la cebolla a 20 Bolívares (0.54 $)
In the cheese section it always takes me a long time to choose the ideal one as there are different sizes and textures but I always like to choose a hard cheese because it is the one that yields the most and as I usually grate it, it lasts longer and I take longer to buy more, something that certainly benefits my pocket and makes me stretch my budget. In this case I chose one of 760 grams for 105.45 Bolivares (2.85 $).
En la sección de quesos siempre me tardo un buen rato para escoger el ideal ya que hay de diferentes tamaños y texturas pero siempre me gusta elegir un queso duro porque es el que más rinde y como suelo rayarlo dura más tiempo y yo tardo más en comprar más, algo que desde luego beneficia a mi bolsillo y me hace estirar el presupuesto. En este caso elegí uno de 760 gramos por 105.45 Bolívares (2.85 $)
Another thing I also like about this super market is that it has its own brands which are obviously much cheaper than the commercial brands and are of excellent quality, for example here we have a 1k mortadella at a price of 68 Bolivares (1.83 $).
Otra cosa que también me gusta de este super mercado es que tiene marcas propias que obviamente son mucho más económicas que las marcas comerciales y además son de excelentísima calidad, por ejemplo aquí tenemos la mortadela de 1k a un precio de 68 Bolívares (1.83 $)
I like to go on weekdays because on weekends there are a lot of people, even so there are several payment boxes, and finally something that I also like because it facilitates and simplifies shopping is that they have several methods of payment, in Bolivares (the national currency) in dollars, with cash, with debit card, with Biopago (payment through the fingerprint) and even with Cashea, which is an application that has gained much popularity in Venezuela because it offers loans and can be paid in easy instalments.
Me gusta ir entre semana porque los fines de semana hay muchísima gente, aún así hay varias cajas de pago, y finalmente algo que también me gusta porque facilita y simplifica las compras es que tienen varios métodos de pago, en Bolívares (la moneda nacional) en dólares, con dinero en efectivo, con tarjeta de débito, con Biopago (pago a través de la huella digital) el incluso con Cashea, la cual es una aplicación que ha ganado mucha popularidad en Venezuela porque ofrece prestamos y se pueden pagar en cómodas cuotas.
