Este fin de semana nos fuimos la familia y unas amistades a celebrar el cumpleaños de mi padrastro. El lugar escogido fue la Villa "Los Laureles" situada en uno de los extremos de la ciudad. Sitio que cuenta con una piscina, propicio para la celebración y de paso refrescar del calor sofocante que azota al país en los últimos días.
Partimos el sábado luego del almuerzo en un triciclo eléctrico. Me tocó ser el chófer y dar dos viajes debido a que somos un grupo bastante numeroso. Al llegar la piscina estaba completamente llena de personas, el lugar es bastante agradable con música y variedad de ofertas gastronómicas. La habitación nos las daban un poco más tarde y tuvimos que esperar en los alrededores de la alberca con nuestras cosas.
This weekend we went with the family and some friends to celebrate my stepfather's birthday. The place chosen was the Villa "Los Laureles" located at one end of the city. The place has a swimming pool, perfect for the celebration and to cool off from the sweltering heat that has hit the country in recent days.
We left on Saturday after lunch in an electric tricycle. I had to be the chauffeur and take two trips because we are a fairly large group. Upon arrival the pool was completely full of people, the place is quite nice with music and a variety of gastronomic offers. The room was given to us a little later and we had to wait around the pool with our things.
Los niños si que no perdieron el tiempo, se cambiaron de ropa y fueron a darse un chapuzón. Liv Karoline (mi hija) no se quedó detrás y también quiso meterse al agua. Me cambié de ropa y fui con ella, es muy pequeña para que esté sola en la pileta, tan sólo tiene 2 años. La entrega de las habitaciones demoró un poco más de los esperado y todos se nos unieron en la piscina.
Al terminar el horario de baño Liv Karoline terminó muy cansada, de echo se durmió en mis brazos. Fuimos hacia las habitaciones, que por fin nos las entregaron y para sorpresa había un gato en la puerta dándonos la bienvenida.
The kids didn't waste any time, they changed their clothes and went for a dip. Liv Karoline (my daughter) didn't stay behind and also wanted to go in the water. I changed clothes and went with her, she is too young to be alone in the pool, she is only 2 years old. The delivery of the rooms took a little longer than expected and everyone joined us at the pool.
At the end of the bath time Liv Karoline was very tired, in fact she fell asleep in my arms. We went to the rooms, which were finally delivered and to our surprise there was a cat at the door welcoming us.
Luego de acomodar las cosas y bañarnos, despertamos la niña y nos dirigimos hacia el restaurant a comer. La cena estuvo muy deliciosa, al salir nos sentamos en el área del bar y disfrutamos de unos traguitos. Sobre las 9 de la noche comenzó un show, con cantantes, bailarines, magos y juegos de participación; los niños pasaron un rato muy agradable. Nos fuimos a los cuartos a descansar, Leo (mi hijastro) y yo nos pusimos a ver un documental en la TV.
Al otro día fuimos a desayunar al restaurant a primera hora. Al salir tomamos un espacio en los alrededores de las piscina con algunas sillas y unas "tumbonas". Allí estuve recostado un rato descansando, los niños jugaban y mi esposa se colocó de mi lado. A penas el salvavidas autorizó a bañarse en la alberca los niños quisieron meterse. Igual que el día anterior tuve que ir detrás de mi hija porque es fanática a la pileta.
After settling our things and taking a bath, we woke up the girl and went to the restaurant to eat. Dinner was very delicious, and when we left we sat in the bar area and enjoyed a few drinks. Around 9 pm a show started, with singers, dancers, magicians and participation games; the kids had a great time. We went to our rooms to rest, Leo (my stepson) and I started watching a documentary on TV.
The next day we went to the restaurant for breakfast first thing in the morning. When we left we took a space around the pool with some chairs and "loungers". There I lay there resting for a while, the kids were playing and my wife was on my side. As soon as the lifeguard gave permission to swim in the pool, the kids wanted to jump in. Just like the day before, I had to follow my daughter because she is a fan of the pool.
Estuvimos en el agua gran parte de la mañana, luego en el horario del mediodía salimos a comer algo. Compré unas pizzas y unos refrescos para poder almorzar. En la tarde jugamos dominó, voleibol con una pelota de la piscina y nos volvimos a dar un chapuzón. El día fue maravilloso, de echo se nos fué bastante rápido. Sobre las 6 de la tarde recogimos las cosas y partimos hacia la casa.
En general fue un fin de semana espectacular, gracias a todos por leer...
We were in the water most of the morning, then at noon we went out to get something to eat. I bought some pizzas and soft drinks for lunch. In the afternoon we played dominoes, volleyball with a ball from the pool and went for a dip again. The day was wonderful, in fact it went pretty fast. Around 6 pm we packed up and left for home.
