About 2 months ago we received the notification that we had to hold a camp at the institution where I work with all the students who are in the 4th year of high school, which totaled an enrollment of approximately 150 students. Although this is something innovative for young people, I must confess that it also caused us some fear not knowing how we were going to support the logistics of this activity, but even so we did not let this be a barrier to develop the camp to which the young people joined with great enthusiasm.
The reception of the teenagers started at 7 in the morning and after 30 minutes we formed them to give them the necessary orientations for the development of the camp and then we took them to breakfast in the dining room and before consuming their food they made a small thank you to the creator of heaven and earth for the great blessing of a new day and for the adventures that were to come.
They were somewhat anxious to start with the dynamics, but in the process of breakfast we were a little late due to some inconveniences that arose, but in the same way they took the opportunity to play and warm up their bodies for the day that awaited them and when finally everyone was ready they went to the stage again to perform some warm-up exercises by the group of forest firefighters, who gladly gave us their support.
The camp was full of many activities and fun games, but at the same time the young people presented a battle cry and a shield and after that the forest firefighters took the opportunity to share their knowledge with them by giving them a talk on how to perform an immobilization of a patient, splint a specific part of the body and even place a collar, they were very attentive and followed to the letter all their instructions and then put it into practice themselves.
Well, we had to add a little bit of tension to the environment, so we started a simple activity in which they had to form a circle of 12 students and pass a hula hoop without letting go of each other's hands, only in this case we didn't have a hula hoop and it was done with cloth.
It should be noted that each of these activities were adding points, then it was approaching noon and we decided to put some music for them to dance with a broom and every time the whistle blew they had to drop their broom and move on to the next without dropping it, but in case this happened they were leaving the game, you can imagine how the kids enjoyed this moment.
It was time for lunch and to give them a break to renew their strength because the strongest activities were coming, or at least that's what we thought, but it was precisely here where they decided to make use of the first rule of the camp, which was to have fun without regrets. For them we started with 2 sections, which were at opposite ends pulling a rope, here they were measuring their strength, until the firemen decided to wet the floor where they were performing the activity themselves, this literally became a carnival party with water and mud everywhere.
This was like the pushing force that they needed to enjoy their camp to the maximum and it was here where we decided to make a circuit game where the young people had to tie themselves by the ankle in pairs and jump over 6 rubber bands, which were submerged in the mud, then they had to pass under 3 ropes that were tied two meters apart simultaneously and for this they had to crawl through a mud puddle and reach a certain line, here I show you a small representation of this fun experience.
Here there was not a student who did not get muddy and they were very happy, crazy, wanting to hug everyone and according to them to show their affection towards the teachers, but I insisted that I appreciated them very much, but from far away. Then they got out of the mud and we went to the bonfire and during this beautiful experience they received from great friends a nourishing talk about values, motivation and perseverance in our dreams, it was a very emotional moment and where the kids attended this talk with a lot of willingness.
During this process the night fell and the atmosphere became spectacular and it started to breeze a lot and the kids were all wet and they approached around the bonfire to generate some heat and almost at 8 pm we sent them home. They all left very happy because it was the first time they had experienced this adventure in the institution and with a lot of joy and hope that it will be repeated in the coming years.

Hace aproximadamente 2 meses recibimos la notificación que debíamos realizar un campamento en la institución donde laboro con todos los estudiantes que están cursando 4to año de educación media, los cuales sumaban una matrícula de 150 estudiantes aproximadamente. Aun cuando esto es algo innovador para los jóvenes, les voy a confesar que también nos provocó algo de temor al no saber cómo íbamos a sustentar la logística de esta actividad, pero aun así no dejamos que esto fuera una barrera para poder desarrollar el campamento a lo cual los jóvenes se sumaron con mucho entusiasmo.
La recepción de los adolescentes inicio desde las 7 de la mañana y pasado 30 minutos los formamos para darle las orientaciones necesitarías para el desenvolvimiento del campamento y luego de allí los llevamos a desayunar al comedor y antes de consumir sus alimentos ellos hicieron un pequeño agradecimiento al creador del cielo y de la tierra por la gran bendición de un nuevo día y por las aventuras que se vendrían.
Estaban algo ansiosos por iniciar con las dinámicas, pero en el proceso del desayuno tardamos un poco por algunos inconvenientes que se presentaron, pero del mismo modo ellos aprovecharon para ir jugando y calentando su cuerpo para el día que les esperaba y cuando por fin todos estaban listos pasaron al escenario nuevamente a realizar algunos ejercicios de calentamiento por parte de la agrupación de los bomberos forestales, quienes muy gustosamente nos brindaron su apoyo.
El campamento estuvo lleno de muchas actividades y juegos divertidos, pero al mismo tiempo los jóvenes presentaron un grito de guerra y un escudo y después de allí los bomberos forestales aprovecharon de compartir sus conocimientos con ellos dándoles una charla de cómo realizar una inmovilización de un paciente, entablillar un parte especifica del cuerpo y hasta colocar un collarín, ellos estuvieron muy atentos y siguieron al pies de la letra todas sus indicaciones para luego ponerlo en práctica ellos mismos.
Bueno debíamos de irle sumando un poquito de tensión al ambiente por lo que iniciamos una sencilla actividad en la cual debían formar un círculo de 12 estudiantes y pasar un hula-hula sin soltar se dé sus manos, solo que en este caso no teníamos hula-hula y se hizo con tela.
Cabe destacar que cada una de estas actividades iban sumando puntos, luego se estaba acercando el medio día y decidimos colocar un poco de música para que ellos bailarán con una escoba y cada vez que sonara el silbato debían soltar su escoba y pasar a la siguiente sin dejarla caer, pero en el caso que esto sucediera iban saliendo del juego, ya se pondrán imaginar cómo disfrutaron este momento los chicos.
Llegó la hora de almorzar y de darle un break para que renovaran sus fuerzas porque venían las actividades más fuertes o por lo menos eso pensamos nosotros, pero fue justamente aquí donde ellos decidieron hacer uso de la primera regla del campamento, la cual era divertirse sin arrepentimiento. Para ellos iniciamos con 2 secciones, las cuales estaban en extremos opuestos jalando un mecate, aquí estaban midiendo su fuerza, hasta que los bomberos decidieron mojar el piso donde estaban ejecutando la actividad ya ellos mismos, esto se convirtió literalmente en una fiesta de carnaval con agua y barro por todos lados.
Esto fue como la fuerza de empuje que ellos necesitaban para disfrutar al máximo de su campamento y fue aquí donde decidimos hacer un juego de circuito donde los jóvenes debían amarrarse por el tobillo en pareja y saltar por 6 cauchos, los cuales estaban sumergidos en el barro, luego debían pasar por debajo de 3 mecate que estaban amarrados a dos metros de distancia simultáneamente y para ello debían arrastrarse por charco de barro y llegar hasta una línea determinada, aquí les muestro una pequeña representación de esta divertida experiencia.
Aquí no hubo un estudiante que no se llenará de barro y estaban muy felices, alocados con ganas de abrazar a todo el mundo y según ellos demostrar su cariño hacia los profesores, pero yo les insistía que los apreciaba mucho, pero desde lejitos. Luego se sacaron un poco el barro y nos fuimos hacer la fogata y durante está bonita experiencia recibieron por parte de grandes amigos una nutritiva charla acerca de valores, motivación y perseverancia en nuestros sueños, fue un momento muy emotivo y dónde los chicos atendieron está charla con mucha disposición.
Durante este proceso termino de caer la noche y el ambiente se puso espectacular comenzó a brisar muchísimo y los chicos estaban todos mojados y se acercaron alrededor de la fogata para generar algo de calor y casi a las 8 de la noche los enviamos a su casa. Todos se fueron muy contentos porque era la primera vez que experimentaban esa aventura en la institución y con mucha alegría y esperanza de que se vuelva a repetir en los próximos años.
