Hola amigos, me alegra hacer mi primera publicación en esta bella comunidad dedicada a nuestros seres queridos, y que mejor manera de hacerlo que con el cumpleaños de mi madre, que en estos días estuvo cumpliendo 72 años de vida.
Hello friends, I am happy to make my first publication in this beautiful community dedicated to our loved ones, and what better way to do it than with the birthday of my mother, who in these days was celebrating her 72th birthday.
Este pasado 24 de julio fue el cumpleaños de mi madre, su nombre es Sonia y cumplió 72 años. Yo creo que ella sospechaba que le estábamos preparando algo, pero no creo que estuviera preparada para todas las sorpresas. Desde hace días ya teníamos todo planeado, y en conjunto con la familia de mi yerno le hicimos una fiesta sorpresa.
Ese día mi hermana y yo nos levantamos temprano y limpiamos la casa para recibir a los invitados. A mi madre no le gusta que le tomen fotos, pero ese día se dejó fotografiar bastante, presumiendo de sus años 🥰. La fiesta empezó poco después del mediodía, yo fui a buscar la pizza familiar que había encargado y mi hermana hizo una rica ensalada fría 😋. También compramos un pastel y refrescos e hicimos tostadas.
This past July 24 was my mother's birthday, her name is Sonia and she turned 72. I think she suspected that we were preparing something for her, but I don't think she was prepared for all the surprises. For days we had already had everything planned, and together with my son-in-law's family we had a surprise party for her.
That day my sister and I got up early and cleaned the house to receive the guests. My mother doesn't like having her picture taken, but that day she let herself be photographed quite a bit, showing off her years 🥰. The party started shortly after noon, I went to get the family pizza I had ordered and my sister made a nice cold salad 😋. We also bought a cake and refreshments and we made some toasts.

Al poco rato llegó la familia de mi yerno, su mamá, su padrastro y sus dos hermanas. También estaba la novia de mi sobrino con su prima y se metieron a la piscina, pues el día estaba caluroso. Yo no quise meterme, pues todavía tengo un poco de catarro, pero los demás se divirtieron mucho.
Soon my son-in-law's family arrived, his mother, stepfather and two sisters. My nephew's girlfriend was also there with her cousin and they went into the pool, as it was a hot day. I didn't want to get in, as I still have a bit of a cold, but the others had a great time.

El padrastro de mi yerno es cocinero de profesional, por lo que él fue el encargado de hacer la comida ese día, pues cocina muy bien. Mi madre no salía de su lado mientras hacía las fritas 😋😅.
My son-in-law's stepfather is a professional cook, so he was in charge of making the meal that day, as he cooks very well. My mother would not leave his side while he was making the frites 😋😅.

A la hora de la cena todos nos sentamos alrededor de la mesa a comer juntos. La única que no pudo estar aquí fue mi hija @wendy23, pues se encuentra pasándose las vacaciones con su papá en La Habana, pero igual nos llamamos por videollamada y felicitó a su abuela.
At dinner time we all sat around the table eating together. The only one who couldn't be here was my daughter @wendy23, as she is spending the vacations with her dad in Havana, but we still video called each other and she congratulated her grandmother.
Lo más importante fue que mi mamá pasó un bonito día junto a su familia, comiendo lo que más le gusta que es pizza y muy contenta por los invitados y las sorpresas.
The most important thing was that my mom spent a nice day with her family, eating what she likes most which is pizza and very happy for the guests and the surprises.
