Reunited with High School Classmates| Full of Laughter, Love, Gratitude

High school friends: the family we choose for ourselves.

Last December 2, 2023, was a blast! We were reunited with high school classmates and it's indeed a remarkable one!

It all started with a small gathering at @restlessadvntr's residence with other classmates catching up with each other (I was not around this time due to time constraints). They took photos of themselves having fun. Behind those photos were the plans to have a reunion in the next three months. In the evening, one of our classmates chatted with us about the upcoming reunion with all those breakdown expenses. So, we have to give twice a month for us not to burden our pockets. Everyone agreed to the proposed agenda even our other classmates who were abroad. Glad they found ways to help this reunion by sending money to our organizer.

@restlessadvntr was the one who suggested the place of the reunion. We agreed since it's budget-friendly, near, and has a beach!

Some of our classmates went to Renzo's house to prepare everything. They even slept over to ensure that everything was set and we'd embark as early as possible.

The day has come!

We left at 9 in the morning, then we stopped for a while at our alma mater. We were few in this picture since others said they'd just go directly to the venue. It's like yesterday we graduated our high school years but it's thirteen years ago! Within four years in high school, a lot of memories have been carved in this school, my Alma Mater.

THE ARRIVAL

As soon as we arrived at the venue, we set everything.

We have rented two cottages to cater to all our food and the attendees.

The tarp finally found a perfect angle for us to take a photo.

The videoke machine that we rented. Since many "singers" in our batch, hehehe.

One dish that they wanted to add was the "shrimp". So, Renzo and Hane set up the mini burner (Renzo's mini burner for his hike/travel) even I, don't know how to set so I keep on watching them.

Let's eaaaaaat! Eating with high school friends would never be the same as before. We had grown already🥰. A lot of things have changed. During this time, we brought our plus one. I didn't bring my kids but seeing my classmate's kids made me think I should've brought my kids too.

After a scrumptious lunch, we decided to take photos of ourselves.

A class of 2009-2010 has its first reunion. Out of 50-plus students, we're only 21 who attended this joyous and once-in-a-while gathering. After 13 years we were as one. Our classmates were in another country finding a greener pasture. Others were having conflicts and valid reasons. We have there, our class adviser in fourth year, Mrs. Estella Ornopia, the mother of Renzo as well.

A front and back view!

Our batch comprises different professions and is successful enough! I can't imagine how we've gone so far. Although others were unlucky to have a profession they strive hard for the comfort of their family. They were one of the top priorities so they could go with us even if they would not donate something for the reunion as long as their presence was there.

We personally thanked our classmate from Australia, she shouldered our T-shirts. We video-called her during the event and said our dearest HI and smiles! Other classmates sent their donations from abroad. Those who pledged for food, transportation, tarp, and others were amazingly great!

Lots of chika, laugh trip, and kumustahan, talking about life was all worth it. Life lessons and pieces of advice from them were all worth hearing. I didn't regret attending my very first reunion with our batch.

We left the venue around 6 pm and arrived home safely. Brought home not just "sharon* but also a rejuvenating self. Been able to collect memories with friends.

I guess that's all for today Hivers. Wait, I have a question. Have you attended a reunion before? How was it going? Share yours too!

Bye for now😉
