Reaffirming Love Every Day (English/Spanish)

A loving greeting to all my Hive friends, it gives me great pleasure to be with you again in this beautiful community, as every week I enjoy sharing some special moment with my dear people. Today I want to dedicate it to my love and life partner @aly.squid, every week we make up an outing to eat out or just share some walk or ride, they are spaces that rehabilitate us and in which we have each other to remind us how beautiful life can be.

This week we had a very beautiful and peaceful date at our two favorite places in the community, the ice cream shop and the famous "Maracucho" hot dog stand. Aly and I have learned that with very little money we can enjoy our time together, going out for an ice cream and two hot dogs each has a cost of 4 dollars in our community, compared to other places it is quite inexpensive but what matters most to us is the time we spend together.

We like to go to "Maracucho" because it is the only place that prepares me a hot dog without sausage and they don't make me look bad, they serve us very well and don't make me feel like a stranger just because I am a vegetarian. For Aly this is very important, because she doesn't enjoy her food unless I can also eat something I like and feel comfortable in the place.

Every day I enjoy our relationship more and more, in a few months we will be 9 years together and all we have given each other in this time is love, support, understanding and a lot of joy. Aly and I offer each other a companionate love, we are there for each other and that is why it may sound strange when I talk about spending time together, since we literally spend all day together, we even have the same job; but it is not the same to share the day to day things, than to design a special space to be together, to talk about our fears, our individual and couple dreams, our doubts, exchange ideas about life, listen, express ourselves, laugh and know that we are there for that, to be listened and contained in a reciprocal way.

One of the things we most enjoy doing together is talking, in all these years with Aly I have learned that it is fundamental that your place speaks to you and listens to you from the heart. In our case this is one of our strengths, we listen to each other lovingly and we never get tired of talking about things, because we both know that nothing can be taken for granted, that's why every day we give each other the opportunity to choose each other and to reaffirm our love.

I hope that telling you this is inspiring for all those who like us believe in love, because I know that we are in a time when people feel very afraid to give themselves the opportunity to love, but I can tell you from my experience that it is possible to love well and receive a beautiful and companionate love from a partner, so let's continue building healthy loves that serve as a reference for the new generations. Reafirmar el amor todos los días (Ingles/Español)

Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, me da mucho gusto estar nuevamente con ustedes en esta hermosa comunidad, como cada semana disfruto de compartir algún momento especial con mi gente querida. El día de hoy quiero dedicárselo a mi amor y compañera de vida @aly.squid, todas las semanas nos inventamos una salida para comer fuera o simplemente compartir de alguna caminata o paseo, son espacios que nos rehabilitan y en los que nos tenemos la una a la otra para recordarnos lo bella que puede ser la vida.

Esta semana tuvimos una cita muy hermosa y tranquila en nuestros dos sitios favoritos de la comunidad, la heladería y la venta de perros calientes del famoso “Maracucho”. Aly y yo hemos aprendido que con muy poco dinero podemos disfrutar de nuestro tiempo juntas, salir a tomar un helado y dos perros calientes cada una tiene un costo de 4 dólares en nuestra comunidad, en comparación con otros sitios es bastante económico pero lo que más nos importa a nosotras es el tiempo que pasamos juntas.

Nos gusta ir a donde el “Maracucho” porque es en el único lugar que me preparan un perro caliente sin salchicha y además no me hacen mala cara, nos atiende muy bien y no me hace sentir como una cosa extraña solo por ser vegetariana. Para Aly esto es muy importante, porque no disfruta de su comida a menos de que yo también pueda comer algo que me guste y que me sienta cómoda en el lugar.

Cada día disfruto más nuestra relación, en unos cuantos meses cumpliremos 9 años juntas y todo lo que nos hemos brindado en este tiempo es amor, apoyo, comprensión y mucha alegría. Aly y yo nos ofrecemos un amor compañero, estamos una para la otra y por eso puede que suene extraño cuando hablo de pasar tiempo juntas, ya que literalmente pasamos todo el día juntas, incluso tenemos el mismo trabajo; pero no es igual compartir las cosas del día a día, que diseñar un espacio especial para estar juntas, para platicar sobre nuestro miedos, nuestros sueños individuales y como pareja, nuestras dudas, intercambiar ideas acerca de la vida, escucharnos, expresarnos, reír y saber que estamos allí para eso, para ser escuchadas y contenidas de manera recíproca.

Una de las cosas que más disfrutamos hacer juntas es conversar, en todos estos años con Aly he aprendido que es fundamental que tu paraje te hable y te escuche desde el corazón. En nuestro caso esta es una de nuestras fortalezas, nos escuchamos amorosamente y nunca nos cansamos de hablar las cosas, porque ambas sabemos que nada puede darse por hecho, por eso cada día nos brindamos la oportunidad de elegirnos y de reafirmar nuestro amor.

Espero que contarles esto sea inspirador para todos aquellos que al igual que nosotras creen en el amor, pues sé que estamos en una época en la que las personas sienten mucho miedo de darse la oportunidad de amar, pero yo les puedo decir desde mi experiencia que es posible amar bien y recibir un amor bonito y compañero de parte de una pareja, así que sigamos construyendo amores saludables que sirvan de referente para las nuevas generaciones.
