A loving greeting to all my Hive friends, it is a pleasure for me to be once again in the beautiful Family & Friends community sharing another of my wonderful moments with my dear people. Throughout my life I have met beautiful people who have filled me and helped me grow and mature, but all those people I have learned the most from are the children. Children have an incredible capacity to interpret things and to express them, they give us great lessons in ethics, because their actions are pure and innocent.
Three years ago I met a couple of wonderful girls, one of them is Andrea and the other is her little sister Andreina. When I met them Andrea was 5 years old and Pepa was 3 years old. They were two adorable and very intelligent little girls, with whom I shared at a time when I was feeling emotionally devastated, the friendship started with their mother, but they were always there, asking, playing, giving us their company, love and occurrences, then as the best things in life happen, unexpectedly grew a bond between me and the little ones, in which we consider each other as a family.
The years have passed and the girls have grown up a lot, in the three years that we have known each other, my life partner and I have celebrated the birthday of Andreina, the youngest, with Andrea it has been different but not because we want to, rather the circumstances have made her birthday we spend it separately, but still together at heart.
This year Andreina turned six and her birthday coincided with the date of her graduation ceremony to move from kindergarten to elementary school, so it was very special. As the girls are not currently living in the same community as us, their mother brought them to visit us and we lovingly waited for them with some delicious meat pies, which is their favorite food. The girls have changed a lot since they left about five months ago, but their affection towards us is the same, they love and respect us because we give them love and respect, we value them and give them a voice and prominence in our spaces.
From Andreina and Andrea we have learned a lot about resilience, they are very young girls who have had to accompany their mother to work for as long as they can remember, they have suffered conditions of poverty and domestic violence, as well as parental abandonment and yet the brightness of their faces is only compared to the sun's rays, they have an incredible ability to smile and bounce back and provide the most restorative hugs I have ever received.
On Wednesday we celebrated Andreina's birthday and her graduation, we sang her birthday with a cake, we accompanied her to the presentation of her diploma and took some pictures with her, then we surprised her with a small gift and later we went to the park with her and her cousins, other children with whom we have woven a very strong bond of affection and support.
I have a lot to thank these five children for, because thanks to them I have learned to redefine what a family is. I hope that we celebrate many more years together and that our affection continues to grow. I hope you like the beautiful pictures we took that day, of some of the moments we shared. Celebrando el cumpleaños de mi consentida (Ingles/Español)
Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, es un placer para mi estar una vez más en la hermosa comunidad Family & Friends compartiendo otro de mis maravillosos momentos con mi gente querida. A lo largo de mi vida he conocido gente muy hermosa que me ha llenado y me ha ayudado a crecer y madurar, pero todas esas personas de las que más he aprendido es de los niños. Lo niños tienen una capacidad increíble para interpretar las cosas y para expresarlas, nos dan grandes lecciones de ética, por su accionar es puro e inocente.
Hace tres años conocí a una par de niñas maravillosas, una de ella es Andrea y la otra es su hermanita Andreina. Cuando las conocí Andrea tenía 5 años y pepa tenía tres. Eran dos pequeñitas adorables y muy inteligentes, con las que compartí en un momento en el que me sentía devastada a nivel emocional, la amistad inicio con su madre, pero ellas siempre estaban allí, preguntando, jugando, brindándonos su compañía, amor y ocurrencias, entonces así como ocurren las mejores cosas de la vida, inesperadamente creció un vínculo entre las pequeñas y yo, en el que nos consideramos mutuamente una familia.
Los años han pasado y las niñas han crecido bastante, en los tres años que llevamos de conocernos, mi compañera de vida y yo hemos celebrado el cumpleaños de Andreina, la más pequeñita, con Andrea ha sido diferente pero no porque nosotras queramos, más bien las circunstancias han hecho que el cumpleaños de ella lo pasemos separadas, pero igual juntas de corazón.
Este año Andreina cumplió seis y su fecha de cumpleaños coincidió con la de su acto de grado para pasar del nivel inicial a primaria, así que fue muy especial. Como las niñas en la actualidad no están viviendo en la misma comunidad que nosotras, su madre las trajo de visita a nuestra casa, las esperamos amorosamente con unos ricos pastelitos de carne, que es su comida favorita. Las niñas han cambiado mucho desde que se fueron hace unos cinco meses, pero su cariño hacia nosotras es igual, nos quieren y nos respetan porque nosotras les brindamos amor y respeto, las valoramos y les damos voz y protagonismo en nuestros espacios.
De Andreina y Andrea hemos aprendido mucho sobre la resilencia, son niñas muy pequeñas que han tenido que acompañar a su mamá al trabajo desde que tienen memoria, han sufrido condiciones de pobreza y violencia intrafamiliar, así como abandono paterno y aun así el brillo de sus caritas solo se compara con el de los rayos del sol, tiene una capacidad increíble para sonreír y reponerse y de brindar los abrazos más reparadores que he recibido.
El miércoles celebramos el cumpleaños de Andreina y su graduación, le cantamos el cumpleaños con una torta, la acompañamos a la entrega de su diploma y nos sacamos unas fotos con ella, después la sorprendimos con un pequeño regalo y más tarde fuimos al parque junto a ella y sus primos, otros niños con los que hemos tejido unos lasos de afecto y apoyo muy fuerte.
Tengo mucho que agradecerles a estos cinco niños, pues gracias a ellos he aprendido a resignificar lo que es una familia. Espero que sean muchos más los años que celebremos juntos y que nuestro cariño siga creciendo. Espero les gusten las lindas fotos que sacamos ese día, de varios de los momentos que compartimos.
