Estoy nuevamente con ustedes para narrarles lo acontecido, el pasado sábado, cuando celebré el día de mi cumpleaños.

Debo confesarles que siempre he sido una persona muy discreta en cuanto a celebraciones se refiere, no acostumbro hacer nada el día de mi cumpleaños , solo una torta y una pequeña reunión con mis más allegados. Sin embargo, ese día, por ser sábado, lo viví de manera diferente.

I am with you again to tell you what happened last Saturday, when I celebrated my birthday.
I must confess that I have always been a very discreet person when it comes to celebrations, I don't usually do anything on my birthday, just a cake and a small gathering with my closest people. However, that day, being Saturday, I lived it differently.

Comencé la mañana asistiendo a un conversatorio que tenían las hijas de San Pablo, mejor conocidas como las hermanas paulinas, referente al tema del agradecimiento. Allí disfrutamos de un té con sabor a agradecimiento. Hablamos de lo importante que es ser humilde y agradecido con lo que somos y con lo que tenemos.

I began the morning by attending a conversation held by the Daughters of St. Paul, better known as the Pauline Sisters, on the theme of gratitude. There, we enjoyed a tea with a taste of gratitude. We talked about how important it is to be humble and grateful for who we are and what we have.

Posteriormente llegó la hora de almorzar y mi esposa @morepina quería ir a un restaurant chino, porque ella sabe que me gusta la comida china.

Llegamos al restaurant Sang Wah, ubicado en la avenida Venezuela de Barquisimeto y desde el momento en que entramos, luego de guardar el carro en el estacionamiento, se sentía un ambiente muy agradable, limpio y con un olor a comida china muy rico.

Then it was time for lunch and my wife @morepina wanted to go to a Chinese restaurant, because she knows I like Chinese food.
We arrived at Sang Wah restaurant, located on Venezuela Avenue in Barquisimeto and from the moment we entered, after storing the car in the parking lot, we felt a very nice atmosphere, clean and with a very nice smell of Chinese food.

Allí nos atendió el mesonero y nos orientó que podiamos comer a la carta o pedir alguno de los combos que ofrecían que ya estaban listos para comer. Accedimos a pedir los combos porque eran casi las 3 de la tarde y ya teniamos mucha hambre.

En general me pareció que los precios estaban bastante accequibles a mi bolsillo y elegimos un combo diferente para cada uno. Esto siempre lo hacemos para intercambiar y probar lo que pidió el otro.

There we were served by the waiter and he told us that we could eat a la carte or ask for one of the combos they offered that were ready to eat. We agreed to order the combos because it was almost 3 o'clock in the afternoon and we were already very hungry.
In general I found the prices to be quite affordable and we chose a different combo for each of us. We always do this to swap and try what the other person ordered.

La comida estaba deliciosa, yo pedí costilla en salsa de ostras con arroz frito y ensalada, y mi esposa pidió costilla agridulce con arroz y lumpias. Todo, incluyendo el refresco salió en 15 dólares, lo cual es un monto muy económico para la calidad y cantidad de comida que sirven alli.

Disfrutamos de la comida, del ambiente y lo más importante es que compartimos como esposos un rato muy agradable. Hacia bastante tiempo que no nos dábamos este regalo mutuo que ayuda a cultivar y mantener una buena relación matrimonial.

De verdad les recomiendo este restaurant cuando tengan prisa y quieran comer sabroso, disfrutar de un ambiente agradable y con precios adaptados a nuestro presupuesto.

The food was delicious, I had rib eye in oyster sauce with fried rice and salad, and my wife had sweet and sour rib eye with rice and lumpias. Everything, including the soft drink came out to 15 dollars, which is very economical for the quality and quantity of food they serve there.
We enjoyed the food, the ambiance and most importantly, we had a great time together as husband and wife. It had been a long time since we had this mutual gift that helps to cultivate and maintain a good marital relationship.
I really recommend this restaurant when you are in a hurry and want to eat tasty food, enjoy a pleasant atmosphere and with prices adapted to our budget.

Al terminar de comer nos quedamos un rato charlando y esperando poder levantarnos por la llenada que nos dimos.

Al salir nos dirigimos a nuestra casa a descansar un rato y a arreglarla un poco porque, mi esposa había preparado una torta de tres leches, decorada con frutas y había invitado a algunos vecinos a compartirla con nosotros y cantar el cumpleaños.

When we finished eating we stayed there for a while chatting and waiting to get up from the filling we had given each other.
When we left we went to our house to rest for a while and to fix it up a bit because my wife had prepared a tres leches cake, decorated with fruits and had invited some neighbors to share it with us and sing the birthday

Ninguno de mi familia pudo estar presente debido a que vivimos retirado y no disponían de transporte para llegar, pero ya me habían felicitado por teléfono en el transcurso del día.

A eso de las 9 de la noche comenzaron a llegar los vecinos y hasta regalos me trajeron. Me obsequiaron una pijama y unos dulces como regalos de cumpleaños. Compartimos un buen rato, nos tomamos unos whiskys y comimos pasapalos.

None of my family could be present because we live far away and they did not have transportation to get there, but they had already congratulated me by phone during the course of the day.
At about 9:00 p.m. the neighbors began to arrive and even brought me gifts. They gave me a pair of pajamas and some candy as birthday presents. We shared a good time, drank some whiskies and ate snacks.

Finalmente me cantaron el cumpleaños y todos quedaron encantados con el sabor de la torta.

Fue un cumpleaños diferente donde pude compartir con mi esposa, con mi hija desde la distancia y mis vecinos un rato ameno, lleno de ocurrencias y situaciones divertidas.

Finally they sang my birthday and everyone was delighted with the taste of the cake.
It was a different birthday where I was able to share with my wife, my daughter from the distance and my neighbors a pleasant time, full of funny situations and occurrences.
