A DELIGHTFUL SHOPPING DAY EXPERIENCE WITH FAMILY!

HELLO, amazing people!
How are you today?
It's best to hear that you and your family are all fine and healthy.

Despite challenges and individual struggles, I hope we are all at our best and are strong-willed enough to continue living the life we deserve!

It has been a while since my last post, and today I am inspired to share my delightful shopping experience with my family. It was inspiring for the reason that the main goal of the shopping was to buy baby stuff for my 8-month-old nephew (my sister-in-law's son) and at the same time delightful because family members and extended ones got this chance to spend time together.

QUICK BACKSTORY!
(How and why did my sister-in-law and her son end up living with us?)

My husband's sister was renting a small room in the city together with her husband and son. Unfortunately, she experienced symptoms of postpartum depression. When I found out about this two months ago, I am sure that it was difficult for her as I experienced it myself before knowing that she would be dealing with it on her own because her husband is always working overtime every day, leaving her alone with her child. After relaying it to my husband, he advised and convinced her younger sister to have a vacation in their hometown, and if she liked she could stay in our house as long as they wanted.

Another reason why I wanted to help is that I know also that every wife's stressful moment which adds up to the depression is financial challenges, (Gush! I've been there!) so, we open our home free of everything to lessen the burden of my sister-in-law. My husband and I have a consensus mind and heart about this matter. We are family after all. Postpartum depression and hormonal changes are NOT A JOKE and I want to let her know that I support her and understand her situation. By that in the meantime, she and her husband could focus their finances on establishing a house of their own and on their baby.

(Fast-forward...)

Shopping Day is family bonding day!

Since we had a private multi-cab as means of transportation, I brought my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, my 8-month-old nephew, my sister, and little brother. My son and daughter were the most excited, though. When we arrived at the Metro, My son, Cedrick, went straight to the baby's milk section to pick up boxes of milk for his baby cousin. Of course after that, to the kids' toys section...haha!

Of course, I granted my baby girl's request too! Good thing that I intended an amount just for her! She wanted a bag and a pair of flat shoes!

Luckily, the store was not crowded that time. We did not wait long at the counter. As usual, these two kiddos were trying to be in business🤣!

FASTFOOD TAKE-OUT @ Jollibee Drive-thru!

Time to go home! As much as we wanted to stay longer and drive around other places but the heat of the sun made our babies uneasy. So, we decided to go home already and passed by a fastfood drive thru!

The kids got very excited when they saw the signage of Jollibee😂. It's time to eat!

It was a rare but enjoyable day out for the family, as we usually avoid going out due to high inflation and a tight budget. We cherished the bonding experience like this the most! We might not be able to buy all we want but the time and bond we had created is all we need to make it one of the most delightful day experiences!

That's all for now my Hive friends! See you on my next blog. @ciadanmea here, sending you all my warm big hugs!
