Espero que se encuentren de maravilla, pues para mí han sido buenos días, aunque un poco calurosos. El día de hoy vengo a hablarles y meterles el chisme de lo que fue el Día Del Padre en mi familia, con una deliciosa parrilla, una excelente rifa y muchos regalos para el celebrado: Mi papá.

I hope you are feeling wonderful, because for me it has been a good day, although a little hot. Today I come to talk to you and tell you about my family's Father's Day, with a delicious barbecue, an excellent raffle and lots of gifts for the celebrated: My Dad.
La celebración empezó desde el sábado, un día antes del día del padre… pero sin mi papá, jajaja. El día antes de la celebración fue bastante estresante, porque salimos a comprar el regalo de mi papá y pasaron muchas cosas muy estresantes, desde quedarnos accidentados hasta discusiones un poco subidas de tonos, pero esas cosas son normales cuando se está bajo tanta presión.
Lo cierto es que ese día terminó bien, logramos comprar los regalos de mi papá y las cosas de la parrilla para la celebración, y además de eso, nos tomamos unas buenas cervecitas y empezamos a celebrar a mi papá, a pesar de que se había ido a trabajar y no regresaría sino hasta el domingo en la mañana.🍺
The celebration started on Saturday, the day before father's day... but without my dad, hahaha. The day before the celebration was quite stressful, because we went out to buy my dad's gift and a lot of stressful things happened, from being in an accident to arguments a little over the top, but those things are normal when you are under so much pressure.
The truth is that day ended well, we managed to buy my dad's gifts and the grill stuff for the celebration, and besides that, we had a few good beers and started celebrating my dad, even though he had gone to work and wouldn't be back until Sunday morning.🍺

Finalmente llegó el día, era hora de celebrar a mi papá en su día especial. Sí sé que es importante darles amor a los padres que lo merecen todos los días del año, pero es lindo tener un día para celebrar su esfuerzo, todo su valor y su tarea de haberte criado por el camino del bien. Y ojo, no digo que todos los padres sean dignos de tener una buena celebración de este día, pero el mío sí la merece.
Aunque mi papá y yo tengamos una relación un tanto tumultuosa, sé que lo amo con mi corazón, que ese sentimiento de cariño y amor es recíproco y espero que el tenga muy claro que yo lo amo inmensamente, que me parece un excelente padre y que ha hecho un excelente labor al haberme criado. Me siento muy agradecido con él, y esperaba que mostrarle por medio de esta celebración mi cariño, le hiciera sentir un poquito amado.🤗
Finally the day came; it was time to celebrate my dad on his special day. Yes, I know it is important to give love to fathers who deserve it every day of the year, but it is nice to have a day to celebrate their effort, all their courage and their task of having raised you on the path of goodness. And mind you, I'm not saying that all fathers are worthy of having a nice celebration of this day, but mine does.
Although my dad and I have a somewhat tumultuous relationship, I know that I love him with my heart, that this feeling of affection and love is reciprocal and I hope he is very clear that I love him immensely, that I think he is an excellent father and that he has done an excellent job raising me. I feel very grateful to him, and I hoped that showing him my affection through this celebration would make him feel a little bit loved.🤗

Mi papá llegó a las 8:30 AM del domingo, día del padre, y ya nosotros (mi mamá y yo) estábamos terminando de organizar todo el desayuno especial para recibirlo. Despertamos desde temprano para poner los regalos en las bolsas, preparar un rico café para acompañar los pastelitos que le íbamos a preparar para su desayuno. Además de eso, le compramos maní salado que a él tanto le gusta y estaba todo listo, con una humeante taza de café.☕️
Aproveché y le saqué unas fotos destapando sus regalos, entre ellos un perfume, una franela y una gorra. Se veía muy contento, y la verdad es que mi papá es un hombre de gustos simples, y ya nosotros sabíamos que disfrutaría de esos regalos, en especial porque son cosas que le gustan bastante.
My dad arrived at 8:30 AM on Sunday, Father's Day, and we (my mom and I) were just finishing organizing the special breakfast to welcome him. We woke up early to put the gifts in the bags, prepare a delicious coffee to go with the empanadas we were going to prepare for his breakfast. Besides that, we bought salted peanuts that he likes so much and everything was ready, with a steaming cup of coffee.☕️
I took the opportunity to take some pictures of him uncovering his gifts, among them a perfume, a flannel and a cap. He looked very happy, and the truth is that my dad is a man of simple tastes, and we already knew that he would enjoy those gifts, especially because they are things that he likes a lot.

Muchas veces, en días de celebración e importantes como este, siento que el tiempo se escapa de nuestras manos como si fuera agua. Siento que en un abrir y cerrar de ojos, ya es de noche y perdí toda la noción del tiempo. Este día claro que no fue la excepción, y sin darme cuenta, ya estaba bañadito, pulido y listo para empezar a echarme unos tragos junto a mis padres, celebrando el esfuerzo de mi papá para ganarse una digna celebración.
Una vez con nuestras pintas puestas, mi papá estrenando sus regalos, y los primeros tragos servidos, nos empezamos a sacar varias fotos. Y claro que mi mamá no podía faltar en esas fotos, ahí coleada pero bella como siempre. Soy fanático de cómo salimos en estas fotos. Siento que nos vemos contentos, relajados, a pesar de estar con un poco de presión por la parrilla, pero nada que unos tragos y risas no puedan curar.🍻
Many times, on important and celebratory days like this one, I feel that time slips from our hands as if it were water. I feel that in the blink of an eye, it's already night and I lost all track of time. This day was no exception, and before I knew it, I was already bathed, polished and ready to start having a few drinks with my parents, celebrating my dad's effort to earn a worthy celebration.
Once we had our pints on, my dad was unveiling his gifts, and the first drinks were served, we started taking pictures. And of course my mom couldn't be missing in those pictures, looking as beautiful as ever. I am a fan of how we look in these pictures. I feel that we look happy, relaxed, despite being with a little pressure from the barbecue, but nothing that a few drinks and laughter can't cure.🍻

Mi tía me pidió que la acompañara a buscar a nuestros invitados para la parrilla, mi tío Mito y su familia. La verdad fui con ella contento, estaba ansioso por entregarle su regalo a otra de las grandes figuras paternas de mi vida, mi tío, que si bien no interactuamos tanto como en mi infancia, representa gran parte de mi vida, y aunque pudiéramos interactuar más, sé que él sabe que lo amo y que lo respeto muchísimo.
Al llegar a casa, le entregué el regalo que le habíamos preparado, se veía bastante contento, pues es muy su estilo: Chocolate, ropa negra y una gorra roja que hacía juego con sus nuevos zapatos.🍫
My aunt asked me to accompany her to pick up our guests for the barbecue, my uncle Mito and his family. The truth is that I went with her happy, I was anxious to give his gift to another of the great father figures in my life, my uncle, who although we do not interact as much as in my childhood, represents a big part of my life, and although we could interact more, I know that he knows that I love him and that I respect him very much.
When we got home, I gave him the gift we had prepared for him, he looked quite happy, as it is very much his style: Chocolate, black clothes and a red cap that matched his new shoes.🍫

Ya mi papá había empezado a prender la parrilla, una tarea que unas veces se complica más que otras, pero es una actividad que él disfruta mucho, todo el proceso de encender los carbones es algo que no he aprendido pero que él hace con mucha felicidad y cariño. Y aunque logró encender la parrilla rápido, la lluvia empezó a caer, así que tuvimos que pasar la parrillera rápido y hacer toda la parrillada en el porche de la casa.
Ya tenían la carne sazonada, los chorizos listos para ser asados y el humo empezaba a hacerse sentir ¡Manos a la obra con esa parrillada!🥩
My dad had already started to light the grill, a task that sometimes is more complicated than others, but it is an activity that he enjoys very much, the whole process of lighting the coals is something that I have not learned but that he does with great happiness and affection. And although he managed to light the grill quickly, the rain started to fall, so we had to pass the grill quickly and do all the grilling on the porch of the house.
They already had the meat seasoned, the chorizos ready to be grilled and the smoke was starting to be felt. So let's get to work with that barbecue!🥩

Mención especial a una rifa que habían organizado mi mamá y mi tía para el día del padre. El premio fue anunciado el viernes 16 de junio, y el premio era un combo parrillero, es decir, eran dos kilos de carne, un pollo, un kilo de chorizos, una caja de cervezas, una botella de whisky. Además de eso, había un premio por aproximación, una botella de sangría Mal Portada para los dos números cercanos al ganador.
La ganadora fue una prima de la familia, y dijo que el premio lo reclamaría el domingo, vendría acá a nuestra casa para celebrar con nuestra familia y su premio el día del padre, pero por ciertos inconvenientes no pudo venir. Lo cierto es que una de las ganadoras por aproximación fue mi tía política, la esposa de Mito, así que le entregamos su respectiva botella de sangría que disfrutaría junto a nosotros en esta linda celebración.🍷
Special mention to a raffle that my mom and my aunt had organized for Father's Day. The prize was announced on Friday, June 16, and the prize was a barbecue combo, that is, it was two kilos of meat, a chicken, a kilo of sausages, a case of beer, a bottle of whiskey. In addition to that, there was a prize for approximation, a bottle of sangria Mal Portada for the two numbers close to the winner.
The winner was a cousin of the family, and she said that she would claim the prize on Sunday, she would come here to our house to celebrate Father's Day with our family and her prize, but due to some inconveniences she could not come. The truth is that one of the winners by approximation was my aunt-in-law, Mito's wife, so we gave her her respective bottle of sangria that she would enjoy with us in this beautiful celebration.🍷

La foto junto a mis tíos no podía faltar, porque toditos son faranduleros en la familia, nadie se salva, jajaja. Además de eso, ya estábamos agarrando calor con los traguitos, los cuentos empezaban a ponerse más interesantes y chistosos, y las voces más fuertes. La parrilla iba andando y mi papá era el encargado, así que todos fuimos hasta el porche para tomarnos unas fotos con los celebrados y con la parrilla, y aunque el humo entorpecía un poco la foto, al final me pareció que le dio un buen toque.💨
The photo with my uncles could not be missing, because everyone is a showman in the family, no one is spared, hahaha. Besides that, we were already getting warmer with the drinks, the stories were starting to get more interesting and funny, and the voices louder. The grill was walking and my dad was the one in charge, so we all went to the porch to take some pictures with the celebrants and the grill, and although the smoke hindered the picture a little, in the end I thought it gave it a nice touch.💨

Una vez estuvo la parrilla lista, le pedí a mi papá un vídeo cortando el último pedazo de carne, y el resultado me dejó totalmente enviciado y hambriento, jajaja. Y luego sí, era hora de servir la deliciosa carne asada y los chorizos en los platos, junto a unos ricos bollitos y guasacaca que habían preparado. Y aunque al principio siempre piensas que nunca es suficiente carne asada, la cantidad que comí fue más que suficiente y quedé mega satisfecho.
El almuerzo fue divertido y familiar, lo malo fue que como quedé muy lleno, las ganas de tomar fueron reemplazadas con un increíble sueño y ganas de dormir. Pero luego de un trago de refresco bien frio, esas ganas de dormir desaparecieron y seguimos la celebración. Estaba también Paola, una amiguita de la familia a la que queremos mucho y no podía faltar en esta celebración.🥤
Once the barbecue was ready, I asked my dad for a video of him cutting the last piece of meat, and the result left me totally enraptured and hungry, hahaha. And then yes, it was time to serve the delicious grilled meat and chorizo on the plates, along with some delicious bollitos and guasacaca they had prepared. And although at first you always think that there is never enough grilled meat, the amount I ate was more than enough and I was mega satisfied.
The lunch was fun and familiar, the bad thing was that as I was very full, the desire to drink was replaced with an incredible sleepiness and desire to sleep. But after a cold soda, the sleepiness disappeared and we continued the celebration. There was also Paola, a family friend whom we love very much and could not miss in this celebration.🥤

Cuando entró un poco más la noche, los adultos nos sentamos en el porche, así chismoseábamos un poco lo que hacían por fuera de la casa y seguíamos con nuestros traguitos. Se nos unieron unos vecinos, pero lamentablemente las fotos que saqué fue antes de que ellos llegaran, y aún así amé los resultados, siento que captura muy bien la felicidad que teníamos todos por aquel día, que ya llegaba a su fin.
Adentro los muchachos tenían un bochinche, como de costumbre, y grabé este vídeo de Paola y Chemi bailando, el cual amé demasiado jajaja. No perdí la oportunidad, y cuando estuvimos justo mi mamá, mi papá, mis hermanos y yo adentro, les pedí una linda foto familiar, incluyendo a la bella de Paola, y amé la foto, siento que es muy íntima, y que todos salimos muy bellos.💓
When the night got a little darker, we adults sat on the porch and gossiped a little about what was going on outside the house and continued with our drinks. We were joined by some neighbors, but unfortunately the pictures I took were taken before they arrived, but I still loved the results, I feel it captures very well the happiness we all had for that day, which was coming to an end.
Inside the guys were having a party, as usual, and I took this video of Paola and Chemi dancing, which I loved too much hahaha. I didn't miss the opportunity, and when my mom, dad, siblings and I were inside, I asked them for a nice family picture, including the beautiful Paola, and I loved the picture, I feel it's very intimate, and we all look very beautiful.💓

Y así finalmente el día llegó a su fin, ya estaba borracho y no seguí sacando fotos, las conversaciones siguieron, mi tío se fue temprano para no manejar bajo estado de ebriedad, y nosotros quedamos un buen rato hablando con los vecinos, contando chismes y demás. Luego finalmente pasamos y, aunque no me dormí de inmediato, agradecí que ya fuera hora de descansar de un día tan ajetreado. Amo los días familiares, en especial cuando los celebramos de esa forma, pero cuando llega el final de ese día y puedo acostarme, agradezco al cielo por poder descansar y, además, revivir mis momentos favoritos del día.💓
Fue un muy lindo día del padre, siento que mi papá lo disfrutó también, y las fotos y lo sonreído que sale lo prueban. Espero poder hacer algo aún más grande por mi papá, y año tras año seguir superando al año anterior, pues así lo merece él. Lo amo muchísimo, ojalá me saliera más natural decírselo en persona, pero supongo que a veces las relaciones Padre-Hijo no son tan sencillas.

And so the day finally came to an end, I was already drunk and did not continue taking pictures, the conversations continued, my uncle left early so as not to drive drunk, and we stayed for a while talking to the neighbors, telling gossip and so on. Then we finally got through, and although I didn't fall asleep right away, I was grateful that it was time to rest from such a busy day. I love family days, especially when we celebrate them that way, but when the end of the day comes and I can go to bed, I thank heaven for being able to rest and also relive my favorite moments of the day.💓
It was a very nice Father's Day, I feel like my dad enjoyed it too, and the pictures and the smiles on his face prove it. I hope to be able to do something even bigger for my dad, and year after year to continue surpassing the previous year, because he deserves it. I love him so much, I wish it would come more naturally to tell him in person, but I guess sometimes father-son relationships are not that easy.
