¡Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive! espero hayan tenido una excelente semana. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un poco de lo que fue el día de las madres lindas y como la pasé junto a mi mamá.
Sabemos que el Día de las madres es algo que más bien celebramos todos los días amándolas, dándoles todo nuestro cariño y atención pero aprovechamos este día convirtiéndolo en algo mucho más especial y digamos que nos portamos mucho mejor con nuestras mamis jajajaja
Hello my dear Hive friends! I hope you had a great week. Today I want to share with you a little bit of what Mother's Day was like and how I spent it with my mom.
We know that Mother's Day is something that we celebrate every day loving them, giving them all our love and attention but we take advantage of this day turning it into something much more special and let's say that we behave much better with our moms hahahaha.
Mi mamá para mi siempre ha sido súper especial, es mi mejor amiga y a quien se que le puedo contar todo lo que me pasa y ella siempre me va a aconsejar. Cuando salimos juntas siento que somos más como unas grandes amigas pasando el rato más que una madre e hija. Los momentos que paso a su lado siempre los disfruto y me encanta que podamos compartir muchas cosas en común como el que nos encante ver películas, nuestras tardes perfectas son estar acostadas un día viendo películas en el televisor aunque también hemos disfrutado mucho de ir al cine. Lo único que hay veces que diferimos mucho en los géneros de las películas y de eso le hecho la culpa a ella jajaja yo soy más de romances y comedias, películas felices y sin tanta acción y a pesar de que a ella también le gusta ese estilo, ama una buena película de acción cosa que yo no disfruto mucho pero bueno, nuestra relación no podía ser del todo perfecta jajajja.
My mom has always been super special to me, she is my best friend and the one I know I can tell everything that happens to me and she will always give me advice. When we go out together I feel like we are more like great friends hanging out than mother and daughter. The moments I spend with her I always enjoy and I love that we share many things in common like the fact that we love to watch movies, our perfect evenings are lying down one day watching movies on the TV although we have also enjoyed going to the movies a lot. The only thing is that sometimes we differ a lot in the genres of movies and I blame her for that hahaha I'm more into romances and comedies, happy movies and not so much action and even though she also likes that style, she loves a good action movie which I don't really enjoy but well, our relationship couldn't be perfect hahahaha.
Por ello en este día de la madre quise que disfrutara mucho y como se que a ella le encanta una buena comida y ver películas, me aseguré de preparar un rico almuerzo que disfrutamos todos en familia.
So on this Mother's Day I wanted her to enjoy a lot and since I know she loves a good meal and watching movies, I made sure to prepare a nice lunch that we all enjoyed as a family.
Nunca en mi vida me había tomado tanto tiempo preparar un plato, creo que este ha sido uno de los más elaborados que he hecho (dentro de mi experiencia de cocina porque soy muuuy principiante jaja). Fue la primera vez que realicé un plato el cual es muy típico de nuestro país que viene siendo el Pabellón Criollo; este es un plato que lleva arroz, plátano maduro frito en tajadas y lo que serían las estrellas de este menú: carne mechada y caraotas (que les confieso esta fue la primera vez que las preparé solita por mi cuenta), mi miedo estaba en que me quedaran muy saladas porque aunque yo nunca las había hecho por mi cuenta, mi amor @hectorfaria1 si y por principiante se confió y le echó sal a su gusto pero cuando los granos absorbieron todo eso quedó ¡sumamente salado! y tenía miedo de que me pasara algo similar pero se tuvo un muy buen resultado. Probablemente pronto les deje la receta.
Never in my life had it taken me so long to prepare a dish, I think this has been one of the most elaborate I've done (within my cooking experience because I am very beginner haha). It was the first time I made a dish which is very typical of our country which is the Pabellon Criollo; this is a dish that has rice, fried ripe plantain slices and what would be the stars of this menu: carne mechada and caraotas (which I confess this was the first time I prepared them on my own), my fear was that they would be too salty because although I had never made them on my own, my love @hectorfaria1 did and as a beginner she was confident and added salt to taste but when the beans absorbed all that it was extremely salty! I was afraid that something similar would happen to me but I had a very good result. I will probably leave you the recipe soon.
Luego del rico almuerzo, no podía faltar un buen postre así que junto a mi mamá preparamos una pequeña torta para disfrutar mientras hacíamos la siguiente actividad del día. Quien diría que ahora nosotras mismas hacemos este tipo de postres porque lo cierto es que anteriormente nosotras, de esto, no sabíamos absolutamente nada, pero ahora es algo que disfrutamos mucho hacer.
After the delicious lunch, a good dessert could not be missing, so together with my mom we prepared a small cake to enjoy while we did the next activity of the day. Who would have thought that now we ourselves make this kind of desserts because the truth is that before we did not know anything about this, but now it is something we really enjoy doing.
Ahora, llegó el momento de darle su regalo. Siempre que busco un regalo para mi mamá intento que sea algo que se que ella necesita por lo tanto cuando estoy con ella siempre intento escuchar sus necesidades. A mi mamá le encantan demasiado los accesorios grandes y llamativos, además de eso también tenía rato hablándome de que le hacían falta algunas cosas en su kit de maquillaje y aquí mi mejor amiga del alma @fotorincon12 me ayudó a darle a mi mamá un muy buen regalo y mi amor fue a su casa en busca de este obsequio así que agradezco mucho su enorme ayuda 💜
Now, it's time to give her her gift. Whenever I look for a gift for my mom I always try to make it something that I know she needs so when I am with her I always try to listen to her needs. My mom loves too much big and flashy accessories, besides that she also had been talking to me for a while that she was missing some things in her makeup kit and here my best soul friend @fotorincon12 helped me to give my mom a very good gift and my love went to her house looking for this gift so I really appreciate her huge help 💜.
No hay nada como ver la cara de felicidad de alguien que amas cuando le das un obsequio que te esforzaste mucho en conseguir. Creo que por eso amo dar regalos y sorprender a las personas me hace muy feliz ver su felicidad.
There is nothing like seeing the happy face of someone you love when you give them a gift that you worked so hard to get. I think that's why I love giving gifts and surprising people, it makes me so happy to see their happiness.
Para finalizar nuestra noche de madre e hija, vimos una película como lo hacíamos antes y aunque no teníamos palomitas de maíz disfrutamos de la torta que habíamos hecho juntas que por cierto siento que cada vez nos queda un poco mejor jajajaja.
To end our mother-daughter night, we watched a movie as we used to do before and even though we didn't have popcorn we enjoyed the cake we had made together which by the way I feel it's getting a little better and better hahahahaha.
Aunque veo a mi mamá todo el tiempo ya que prácticamente somos vecinas lo cierto es que son pocos los momentos en los que pasamos tiempo solo nosotras dos y pasar este día especial juntas simplemente viendo una agradable película y disfrutando de un almuerzo lleno de risas y muchas conversaciones (o chismes jaja) a sido invaluable. Me siento sumamente agradecida por tener a una mujer increible y especial como mi mamá. A pesar de que ya el Día de las Madres pasó igual les envío los mejores deseos en su día y mes especial. Disfruten mucho a sus mamis.
Although I see my mom all the time since we are practically neighbors the truth is that there are few moments when we spend time just the two of us and spending this special day together just watching a nice movie and enjoying a lunch full of laughter and lots of conversations (or gossip haha) has been invaluable. I feel extremely grateful to have such an amazing and special woman as my mom. Even though Mother's Day has passed I still send you all my best wishes on your special day and month. Enjoy your moms very much.
