Hello, Hivers! A new day for another blog. I hope everyone has a great day 😊
Even with our hectic schedules, planning a family get-together must be comprised to reconnect and create treasured memories. Finally, it happened. Hehehe! To Lantaw, we ate! We used to always have rendezvous when there were special occasions or gatherings in the family. It could be indoor or outdoor dining. It depends on the situation!
It was last Friday when we had it. Our call time was seven o'clock in the evening in Lantaw- the recently opened branch in Compostela. I was worried about the traffic since I traveled from Cebu City to Compostela. Knowing it was Friday, ugh! the last day of the workweek, traffic was expected for commuters like me on that day. I needed to catch up! And wait? I have my dental appointment on the same day. I was puzzled but health is important. So, I decided to adhere to the day but not the time Hehehe! The only option was I must need to leave school early.
When my watch’s time pointed at 4:20 in the afternoon, I hurriedly went down from the fourth floor heading to another building to log out in the biometrics.
Not obvious that I was in a rush! Hahahaha Pictures are life now for the blog.
I took a motorcycle to go to the dental clinic because it was the fastest way.
Luckily enough, the dental clinic which is the CebuDent Oral Care is just across SM City Cebu. It is located on the 2nd floor of the Cebu Daily News Building Kaoshiung St. Mabolo North Reclamation which is beside the Bayfront Hotel. The services were recommendable and the price was justifiable. I went there for consultation only. I went earlier than the appointed time anticipating to be accommodated before the expected time. Fortunately, I was. I finished around 5:23 p.m. and had a seven-minute walk heading to the North Bus Terminal.
I arrived there at half past five. I took the Ceres Bus Liner regular for cheaper fare. With a firm mindset, I can catch up. Three minutes later, the driver started the engine. We were ready to go. I just kept on checking the time. Hahahaha!
The traffic was unavoidable. Hahaha! But still thankful because we were not plunged that long and the bus was able to move slowly but surely. Hahaha! My stomach kept on rumbling inside already.
Fast forward, I arrived at home in Compostela, at approximately seven at night.
My partner and son were waiting for me in the house. My in-laws and other family members showed up in advance in the restaurant to occupy the reserved tables and chairs. We only prepared our son's essentials and clothed him and we were ready to go.
It was only a minute's ride from our house to Lantaw Restaurant.
The signage was vague due to the reflection of the light.
We were here! Lantaw Restaurant is in Compostela, Cebu. It is located in Hika Poblacion before Shell, Compostela beside Waboo Restaurant. It is a new dining destination up North and just alongside the road.
The parking area was spacious enough to accommodate vehicles, it was better to go there early because it got easily full due to the bulk of people dining in especially when it was the weekend.
Lantaw is a Visayan word that means to “look out”. The name “Lantaw Restaurant" reflects its' scenic locations. It is nestled in places with picturesque coastline settings where diners can enjoy while having their meal. It’s a combination of the soothing sea breeze and the satisfying aroma of cooked food.
Lantaw offers a delectable array of traditional Filipino dishes and mouthwatering grilled seafood specialties. It has stunning vistas, making it an apt and captivating choice for the restaurant.
Their kitchen is characterized by modern,well-equipped and cozy style.
When you are planning to dine-in, it’s better to call them ahead of time for your table reservation. Hehehe! I got their number in case you are planning to dine in.
For walk-ins, you need to go to the reception area have your names listed, and wait patiently. See the guidelines below.

These were our food.
It was a priceless moment again with the families. We shared peals of laughter and stories while savoring these delicious dishes. Other cherished memories created against the relaxing vistas are a way of releasing the negative energy for the workweek and recharging again. We graciously enjoyed the sumptuous meal.
All the food was tasty and captured the essence of Filipino cuisine in every delectable bite. The seafood was succulent and the meats were so flavorful. After digesting all this solid sustenance, they have their Cordova Coolers that are so refreshing and a tropical delight. Served in a chilled glass, these coolers were a fusion of fresh fruits in chunks like watermelons, oranges, and calamansi ( Philippine lime) that quenched our thirst. It was a revitalizing beverage.
One of their good amenities was the comfort room. I haven’t seen a restroom as big as this. The design looked aesthetic and it was hygienic.
After we enjoyed the delicious food, here I am ( doing my responsibility) Hehehe!
We toured around their airy restaurant and took some family snapshots. Gazing at the sky and said, “ Thank you God for this great day”.
