Cadáveres vivientes con unas ansias enormes de sangre que deambulan por las calles arrastrando sus cuerpos podridos sin otra razón aparente que aterrorizar o bailar, por supuesto, en el caso de que se trate de esa popular canción de Michael Jackson. Bromas aparte, la nueva temporada de Call Of Duty Mobile ha traído consigo un evento fuera de lo común tal vez inspirado en el Halloween que se aproxima. Ahora no se trata solo de disparar, sino de sobrevivir…
Y no les hablo de sobrevivir a zombis bailarines.

Jokes aside, the new season of Call Of Duty Mobile has brought with it an unusual event perhaps inspired by the approaching Halloween. Now it's not just about shooting, but about surviving...
And I'm not talking about surviving dancing zombies.

Si has entrado en el juego recientemente, habrás notado que la imagen principal cambió con banda sonora incluida. Pues esta novedad es parte del modo “Zombis” que se ha incorporado a Call Of Duty Mobile para llenar de acción, horror y entretenimiento a sus más fieles seguidores. Lo diferente en esta propuesta es la manera en la que se nos presenta el evento: aparentemente, una niebla maligna ha transformado a los seres humanos en cadáveres violentos, y, como agentes especiales en una misión de reconocimiento, nuestra tarea es descubrir el origen de tanto caos sangriento… bueno, y también matar a esos bichos carnívoros que han perdido todo rastro de humanidad.
Desde hace algunos días atrás la notificación de la nueva temporada con un tráiler lleno de zombis no me había dejado dormir (y yo que sufro de insomnio, XD) porque el asunto me entusiasmó y me llenó de curiosidad. Cuando se estrenó el modo zombi no pude esperar para probarlo, aunque estaba perdido y no conocía absolutamente nada sobre cómo jugarlo. Antes de sumergirme completamente en la locura de los muertos vivientes, tuve que descargar algunos datos extras para los mapas nuevos. Una vez iniciado el juego, comenzó lo realmente interesante.

Well, this novelty is part of the "Zombies" mode that has been incorporated into Call Of Duty Mobile to fill its most loyal fans with action, horror, and entertainment. What is different in this proposal is the way in which the event is presented to us: apparently, an evil fog has transformed human beings into violent corpses, and, as special agents on a reconnaissance mission, our task is to discover the origin of so much bloody chaos… well, and also killing those carnivorous critters that have lost all trace of humanity.
A few days ago the notification of the new season with a trailer full of zombies had not let me sleep (and I suffer from insomnia, XD) because the matter excited me and filled me with curiosity. When the zombie mode was released I couldn't wait to try it out, even though I was lost and knew absolutely nothing about how to play it. Before I fully immersed myself in the undead madness, I had to download some extra data for the new maps. Once the game started, the really interesting started.

La partida en modo Zombis está configurada para un total de cuatro jugadores, obviamente, todos formarán parte del equipo de los soldados contra los muertos vivientes. La misión es sobrevivir ronda tras ronda a todas las hordas de enemigos cadavéricos hasta el jefe final, el cual no es para nada amigable y para colmo detesta los uniformes y las balas (lol). Este estilo difiere completamente al “Ataque de los no muertos”, en donde hay dos bandos de jugadores (los vivos y los no vivos) y si te eliminan resucitas en el lado de los muertos (valga la redundancia, XD). En cambio, para esta nueva temporada y forma de juego, las rivalidades quedan a un lado para un trabajo en equipo trascendental.
Como les decía, inicié la partida y aparecí en un mapa pantanoso, más precisamente en una cabaña con las ventanas cubiertas de tablas (ya se imaginarán por qué, XD) y con una pistolita de esas que nadie quiere. Un pequeño cronómetro en la parte superior de la pantalla anunciaba el tiempo restante para la aparición de los zombis, mientras tanto, tenemos la opción de equiparnos para resistir los ataques. Por suerte el juego nos da algunas monedas para suplir nuestras necesidades de balas y aumentar la capacidad de daño de la pistolita y la navaja. A diferencia del Battle Royale, las armas las encontramos dibujadas en la pared o incluso en una despensa…
Lo importante, ante todo, es que logres armarte de la mejor forma posible porque los zombis no perdonan.
The game in Zombies mode is set up for a total of four players, obviously, they will all be part of the team of soldiers against the undead. The mission is to survive round after round to all the hordes of cadaverous enemies until the final boss, who is not friendly at all and hates uniforms and bullets (lol). This style completely differs from the "Attack of the undead", where there are two sides of players (the living and the non-living) and if they eliminate you, you resurrect on the side of the dead (excuse the redundancy, XD). Instead, for this new season and gameplay, rivalries are set aside for momentous teamwork.
As I was saying, I started the game and appeared on a swampy map, more precisely in a cabin with the windows covered with boards (you can imagine why, XD) and with a little pistol of those that nobody wants. A small timer at the top of the screen announced the time remaining for the zombies to appear, meanwhile we have the option to equip ourselves to resist attacks. Luckily, the game gives us some coins to meet our bullet needs and increase the damage capacity of the pistol and the knife. Unlike Battle Royale, we find weapons drawn on the wall or even in a pantry...
The important thing, above all, is that you manage to arm yourself in the best possible way because zombies do not forgive.

Son ocho rondas en total, lo que quiere decir que hay que enfrentar ocho hordas de zombis, cada una peor que la otra. Para adquirir monedas y comprar armas debemos matar a los muertos vivientes. Por supuesto, no solo se trata de adquirir rifles o metralletas, también es necesario aumentar nuestras posibilidades de supervivencia con un buen equipo de protección. Un consejo general es que, por favor, no apliques el juego individual porque terminarán aniquilándote. ¡Se trata de trabajo en equipo! Y de no gritar… sobre todo no gritar o asustarse, XD.
Les digo todo esto porque me tocó un equipo que generalmente me dejó solo en la partida, salvo a uno que otro jugador que me salvaba cuando mis puntos de salud estaban por el suelo. Si te derriban en la partida, puedes volver nuevamente aunque con un pase gratis que tiene un límite de tres usos. ¡No dejes que te maten tres veces! Es horrible arrastrarse y matar zombis a la vez cuando te quedan muy pocos puntos de salud, en esos instantes solo gana la desesperación y la ansiedad. Durante la partida me derribaron en dos ocasiones, eso en parte por culpa de mi internet y mis nada compañeros amigos, XD.
There are eight rounds in total, which means that you have to face eight hordes of zombies, each one worse than the other. To acquire coins and buy weapons we must kill the walking dead. Of course, it is not only about acquiring rifles or machine guns, it is also necessary to increase our chances of survival with good protective equipment. A general advice is that please do not apply the individual game because they will end up annihilating you. It's about teamwork! And not to scream… especially not to scream or get scared, XD.
I tell you all this because I got a team that usually left me alone in the game, except for one or another player who saved me when my health points were low. If you get knocked down in the match, you can come back again albeit with a free pass that is capped at three uses. Don't let them kill you three times! It's horrible to crawl and kill zombies at the same time when you have very few health points left, in those moments only desperation and anxiety wins. During the game I got knocked down twice, partly because of my internet and my nothing fellow friends, XD.

En la aparición de las hordas se mezclan los zombis con algunos mini jefes, los cuales cumplen el papel del enemigo más fuerte al final de cada ronda. Debo señalar que hay unos perritos que no buscan la pelota, sino tu piel para clavar sus dientes. De igual manera aparecen unos monstruos que pueden transportarse y al parecer son de corriente eléctrica. ¡Menudo bichos! Estos se mueven tan rápido que atinarles es un gran problema, además disminuyen tus puntos de salud de un solo golpe.
¿Por qué los zombis no son como los de Michael Jackson?
Me reencontré con mi equipo para enfrentar a los monstruosos sabuesos y al espectro de electricidad. ¿Qué si tenía miedo? Un poco, quizás porque ya eran más de las doce de la madrugada y el sonido de los zombis no es muy agradable. Ya luego tuve que ser valiente porque no podía ser que mis agraciados compañeros se estaban llevando la victoria sin mi ayuda… ¿acaso no confiaban en este soldado? Creo que al final entendieron que debíamos trabajar en equipo y entonces, nos volvimos a reagrupar.
In the appearance of the hordes, the zombies are mixed with some mini bosses, which play the role of the strongest enemy at the end of each round. A little, perhaps because it was already after twelve in the morning and the sound of the zombies is not very pleasant. Then I had to be brave because it couldn't be that my graceful companions were taking the victory without my help... didn't they trust this soldier? I think in the end they understood that we had to work as a team and so we regrouped again.

Y como todo buen juego Shooter donde inesperadamente surgen los zombis, en la última ronda nos topamos con la temible sorpresa del jefe final, ¿adivinen de quien se trataba? Pues de un escorpión mutante con más vidas que un gato. Para darle más adrenalina al asunto el bicho llegó acompañado de unos muertos vivientes, ¡vaya sorpresa! Había que elegir entre disparar al escorpión o a los fastidiosos de sus secuaces…obviamente tuvimos que dividirnos para facilitar la tarea.
No, matar escorpiones no ha sido mi fuerte ni en los videojuegos. Los puntos de salud del monstruo de agujón son difíciles de disminuir, sin mencionar el hecho de que mientras le bajes vida se vuelve más furioso y letal. ¿Se imaginan un combate en la vida real con un bicho así? a diferencia de nuestros personajes en Call Of Duty Mobile, lo más probable es que salgamos corriendo.
And like any good Shooter game where zombies appear unexpectedly, in the last round we ran into the fearsome surprise of the final boss, guess who it was? Well, from a mutant scorpion with more lives than a cat. To add more adrenaline to the matter, the bug arrived accompanied by some undead, what a surprise! You had to choose between shooting the scorpion or the annoying ones of his minions... obviously we had to split up to facilitate the task.
No, killing scorpions hasn't been my forte, not even in video games. The spike monster's health points are difficult to decrease, not to mention the fact that as you lower your health it becomes more furious and deadly. Can you imagine a fight in real life with a bug like that? Unlike our characters in Call Of Duty Mobile, we will most likely run away.

A pesar de todos los inconvenientes logramos ganar la partida. Como era de esperarse me quedé con el último lugar, aunque vale, admito que no estaba al 100% mis capacidades. Ahora bien, ¿es realmente bueno este nuevo modo zombi? Pues la verdad es que sí. Encontré muy interesante y entretenida esta versión contra los muertos vivientes, a pesar de que tiene mucho parecido a otros juegos de acción y sobrevivencia contra los caminantes blancos… oh, perdón, mejor dicho: contra los muertos caminantes, XD.
Claro que este es solo uno de los tantos mapas que hay disponibles, y supongo que habrá más jefes y cosas interesantes por descubrir. Por ahora, ya tenemos una opción muy divertida para matar zombis y tal vez asustarnos un poco. ¡Hay mucha adrenalina! La única regla es no perder, LOL.
Despite all the drawbacks we managed to win the game. As expected I took the last place, although okay, I admit that I was not 100% my capabilities. Now, is this new zombie mode really good? The truth is yes. I found this version against the walking dead very interesting and entertaining, despite the fact that it has a lot of similarities to other action and survival games against the white walkers… oh, sorry, rather: against the walking dead, XD.
Of course this is just one of the many maps available, and I expect there will be more bosses and interesting things to discover. For now, we already have a very fun option to kill zombies and maybe scare us a little. There is a lot of adrenaline! The only rule is don't lose, LOL.

Call Of Duty Mobile sigue marcando la tendencia y, podría asegurar, que es uno de los mejores juegos de disparos para teléfonos. ¿Ya has probado el nuevo modo zombi? El terror, aunque no lo crean, también tiene su lado entretenido. Los muertos vivientes podrán asechar, pero nada que una buena bala pueda resolver. De todas formas, no olviden apuntar en cualquier sitio que no sean los pies, LOL.
Call Of Duty Mobile continues to set the trend and I could say that it is one of the best shooting games for phones. Have you already tried the new zombie mode? Terror, believe it or not, also has its entertaining side. The undead may lie in wait, but nothing a good bullet can solve. Anyway, don't forget to aim anywhere other than the feet, LOL.
