A principios de año tuve una idea bastante loca para el lanzamiento de @metamerch. Sabía que la gran mayoría de las personas que me apoyan no viven cerca, muchos incluso viven en otros países, por esta razón, celebrar el lanzamiento de la marca en un establecimiento físico no era una buena opción, así que empecé a soñar con hacerlo en el metaverso, y digo soñar porque hasta ese momento no conocía a absolutamente nadie que pudiera ayudarnos a llevar esa idea a cabo. Me parecía genial el concepto de reunir a la comunidad web3 en la virtualidad, pero como lo veía un poco lejano seguí trabajando en la parte visual y los diseños de la marca.

At the beginning of the year I had a pretty crazy idea for the launch of @metamerch. I knew that the vast majority of the people who support me do not live nearby, many even live in other countries, for this reason, celebrating the launch of the brand in a physical establishment was not a good option, so I started dreaming about doing it in the metaverse, and I say dreaming because until that moment I knew absolutely no one who could help us to carry out this idea. I thought the concept of bringing the web3 community together in the virtuality was great, but as I saw it a bit far away I kept working on the visual part and the brand designs.

Poco a poco fui conociendo personas geniales, apasionadas por los mundos virtuales, por los NFTs y por la inteligencia artificial, empecé a explorar los distintos metaversos y gracias a las redes sociales, al networking y al trabajo constante logré conectar con quienes se ofrecieron a ayudarme a llevar a cabo mi idea, y debo decir que lo que fuimos capaces de crear en conjunto fue muchísimo mejor de lo que había imaginado. El viernes pasado presentamos oficialmente la marca al público, celebrando el lanzamiento con una fiesta virtual organizada por el proyecto Facemoon, quienes organizan las mejores fiestas virtuales en Decentraland.

Little by little I met great people, passionate about virtual worlds, NFTs and artificial intelligence, I began to explore the different metaverses and thanks to social networks, networking and constant work I managed to connect with those who offered to help me carry out my idea, and I must say that what we were able to create together was much better than I had imagined. Last Friday we officially presented the brand to the public, celebrating the launch with a virtual party organized by the Facemoon project, who organize the best virtual parties in Decentraland.

La fiesta ocurrió dentro de un autobús hippie, sí, así como lo leen jajaja, esa es una de las ventajas del metaverso, la creatividad no tiene límites. Este autobús constaba de 2 pisos y una planta baja, en el primer piso podías encontrar una exhibición del COCO hoodie, nuestro primer wearable creado en Decentraland en colaboración con el proyecto Cocobay, y una decoración con los logotipos de Liketu y Hive 🙌🏼. El segundo piso era el lugar de la fiesta, donde disfrutamos de buena música de los años 60 gracias al DJ Billy Teacoin y la grata compañía de la comunidad web3. La fiesta debía durar dos horas pero habían transcurrido 4 horas y las personas seguían activas disfrutando 😂😂 No se donde tenían tanta energía escondida.

The party took place inside a hippie bus, yes, just as you read it hahaha, that's one of the advantages of the metaverse, creativity has no limits. This bus consisted of 2 floors and a first floor, on the second floor you could find an exhibition of the COCO hoodie, our first wearable created in Decentraland in collaboration with the Cocobay project, and a decoration with the logos of Liketu and Hive 🙌🏼. The second floor was the place for the party where we enjoyed good music from the 60's thanks to DJ Billy Teacoin and the pleasant company of the web3 community. The party was supposed to last two hours but 4 hours had passed and people were still active enjoying 😂😂 I don't know where they had so much hidden energy.

Siento que la única diferencia entre una fiesta en el metaverso y una fiesta en la vida real es que no puedes tocar a las personas, pues todo lo demás se sintió como si la distancia y el idioma no fuesen barrera, todos disfrutamos, tomamos muchas fotos y las compartimos en las redes sociales, tal cual como lo hubiésemos hecho en la vida real. Durante todo el fin de semana se mantuvo la interacción entre los invitados y @metamerch, hicimos nuevas amistades y recibimos muy buenos comentarios sobre el evento, me siento muy feliz y agradecida por todo el apoyo que hemos recibido y por todo lo que se viene a partir de este momento, esperen cosas geniales porque se vienen cosas geniales, con experiencias inmersivas y divertidas que disfrutaremos crear para ustedes ❤️

¿Preparados para la próxima party?

I feel that the only difference between a party in the metaverse and a party in real life is that you can't touch people, everything else felt as if distance and language were not a barrier, we all enjoyed ourselves, took lots of pictures and shared them on social media, just as we would have done in real life. Throughout the weekend the interaction between the guests and @metamerch was maintained, we made new friendships and received very good feedback about the event, I feel very happy and grateful for all the support we have received and for everything that is coming from this moment on, expect great things because great things are coming, with immersive and fun experiences that we will enjoy creating for you ❤️
