Visiting Expo Tecno Digital Barquisimeto | En-Es|

The event takes place in the city of Barquisimeto, at the Lidotel facilities, which is located inside the Sambil Shopping Center. The Expo Tecno Digital has already been in another Venezuelan city and its main objective is for companies in the technology sector to show their products or services, besides being a way for businessmen, entrepreneurs and consumers to achieve a closer contact.

The choice of the Lidotel for the expo seemed right to me, it has ample space, good atmosphere and being in the mall, it offers a reach and influx of people, it is one of the most visited. In addition, the first day of the Expo coincided with a fashion show in the mall.

A technology exhibition in a country in crisis? Many will ask this question, but it is possible and the effort to make these initiatives that promote development within the sector is appreciated. Perhaps we will not find anything about robotics, artificial intelligence and other innovations that may be present in other expos on the same topic in first world countries, but it is a good start to meet some companies, products and services in the region.

One of the first stands I visited was that of the company Ewinet telecom, which will soon start offering its services in the region: wireless internet. I have never tried this type of internet provider, so until I use it I will not be able to give an opinion on whether it is better than the services of the big companies and fiber optics. The exhibitor who attended me was honest and told me that in case of rain, heavy storms, the service may fail. There are plans for companies and residential plans with costs between 40$ - 80$ and speeds between 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps. A very important detail, it was the only company that told me they would accept cryptocurrencies as a payment method. A plus point for them.

I asked other exhibitors and none accepted crypto as a payment method, maybe I missed a booth, but it is something to keep in mind, for companies in the technology sector, it seems that there is some ignorance of the advantages of offering consumers this payment method that would put them at the forefront.

Inter is another internet provider, leader in the region, they now only have fiber optic, My experience has not always been good, but compared to the other options, it is the one I prefer.

El evento se realiza en la ciudad de Barquisimeto, en las instalaciones del Lidotel, que se encuentra dentro del Centro Comercial Sambil. La Expo Tecno Digital ya estuvo en otra ciudad venezolana y tiene como objetivo principal que las empresas del sector tecnológico muestren sus productos o servicios, además de ser una forma de que empresarios, emprendedores y consumidores logren un contacto más cercano.

La elección del Lidotel para la expo me pareció acertada, cuenta con amplios espacios, buen ambiente y al estar en el centro comercial, ofrece un alcance y afluencia de personas, es uno de los mas visitados. Además, el primer día de la Expo coincidió con un desfile de moda en el centro comercial.

¿Una exposición de tecnología en un país en crisis? Muchos se harán esta pregunta, pero es posible y se agradece el esfuerzo por hacer estas iniciativas que promueven el desarrollo dentro del sector. Quizás no encontremos nada sobre robótica, inteligencia artificial y otras innovaciones que pueden estar presentes en otras expos sobre el mismo tema en países del primer mundo, pero es un buen comienzo para conocer algunas empresas, productos y servicios de la región.

Nunca he probado este tipo de proveedor de internet, así que hasta que no lo use no podré opinar sobre si es mejor que los servicios de las grandes compañías y la fibra optica. El expositor que me atendió fue honesto y me dijo que en caso de lluvia, fuertes tormentas, el servicio puede fallar. Hay planes para empresas y planes residenciales con costos entre 40$ - 80$ y velocidades entre 50 Mbps y 100 Mbps. Un detalle muy importante, fue la única empresa que me dijo que aceptarían criptomonedas como método de pago. Punto a favor para ellos.

Pregunté a otros expositores y ninguno aceptaba cripto como método de pago, quizás me perdí algún stand, pero es algo a tener en cuenta, para las empresas del sector tecnológico, parece que existe cierto desconocimiento de las ventajas de ofrecer a los consumidores este método de pago que les pondría a la vanguardia.

Inter es otro proveedor de internet, líder en la región , ellos ahora solo tienen fibra óptica, Mi experiencia no siempre ha sido buena, pero frente a las otras opciones, es la que prefiero.

Al lado estaba el stand del Banco Plaza, quienes estaban apurando cuentas bancarias de manera sencilla a las personas, por lo que muchos visitantes aprovecharon para abrir una cuenta con dicho banco.

Me encontré con una sección en la que el IESA promocionaba Emprende Tech, un programa de formación para emprendedores en el sector tecnológico. Yo también he tenido buenas referencias de ellos y les pregunté por su programa de formación y nuevas tecnologías. Fue una charla agradable, creo que su sistema de formación es estupendo y también tienen un programa de incubación y financiación. Me dieron material informativo y cuando tenga más tiempo consultaré su página web.

Justo al lado del IESA, estaba Fundaescharte, una fundación con muchos años en la ciudad, centrada en la educación musical. O.k, sí, no tiene nada que ver con tecnología, pero por lo que pude hablar con la persona de esa fundación, estaban allí para promocionar sus talleres y sobre todo un evento que realizarán en mayo en la Arena Plaza Ferial (otro centro comercial en Barquisi-meto) donde habrá un congreso de educación musical, talleres, showcases y una pequeña expo. Creo que voy a asistir.

Había visto a alguien con un traje futurista que parecía robocop, pero ya se había retirado. Más tarde me enteré de que era el director de una empresa que quiere comercializar el traje Lrog Explorer entre las fuerzas del orden.
