Greetings friends of Hive and @geekzone, today I am going to share with you my experience visiting an educational space that has a computer classroom, in the Augusto Mijares parish, Zamora municipality, state Aragua, Venezuela.
Cabe destacar que esta actividad se planificó con la Profesora que es la Enlace Municipal en conjunto con el equipo CBIT, para el día de hoy lunes , con el objetivo de realizar mantenimiento preventivo y correctivo de los equipos de computación del Centro Bolivariano de Informática y Telemática Ezequiel Zamora CBIT, el cual presentaban fallas en el encendido, para de esta forma realizar el diagnóstico de las fallas presentadas.
It should be noted that this activity was planned with the Professor who is the Municipal Liaison together with the CBIT team, for today, Monday, with the objective of carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance of the computer equipment of the Bolivarian Center for Informatics and Telematics . Ezequiel Zamora CBIT, which had ignition failures, in order to carry out the diagnosis of the faults presented.
Asimismo se procedió a destapar cada uno de los equipos de computación que son de la marca Dell, estos tiene el sistema operativo Linux llamado Canaima, con un disco duro de 500 GB y una memoria de 1gb, con un tiempo de uso de más de diez años. Se desconectaron la corriente y se hizo la limpieza, extrayendo el polvo con brocha delgada, esto se debe hacer con una sopladora, pero como no contamos con ella, se realizó de esta manera.
Likewise, each of the Dell brand computer equipment was uncovered. These have the Linux operating system called Canaima, with a 500 GB hard drive and 1 GB memory, with a use time of more than ten years. The power was disconnected and cleaning was done, extracting the dust with a thin brush. This should be done with a blower, but since we don't have one, it was done this way.
Una vez terminado se limpio las memorias de cada uno con un borrador y se verificaron que las diferentes conexiones estuviesen bien, como el disco duro, memorias, unidad de DVD y floppy. Se inició el encendido del equipo y se observo que el Chasis o CPU está operativo, pero el monitor pantalla plana presente manchas, y se apaga. En vista de esto se hizo el cambio de monitor y se comprobó que el problema son los monitores dañados.
Once finished, the memories of each one were cleaned with an eraser and it was verified that the different connections were good, such as the hard drive, memories, DVD drive and floppy drive. The equipment started to turn on and it was observed that the Chassis or CPU is operational, but the flat screen monitor has spots, and turns off. In view of this, the monitor was changed and it was found that the problem was damaged monitors.
Cabe resaltar que este problema lo presentan diecinueve monitores, esto se debe al tiempo de uso de este tipo de monitores pantalla plana, debido a que requieren de unos nuevos para poder funcionar con adecuadamente y también es necesario colocar otra memoria de 1Gb para poder actualizar el sistema operativo Caniama a una versión mas actualizada, ya que el navegador Firefox esta desactualizado.
It should be noted that this problem is presented by nineteen monitors, this is due to the time of use of this type of flat screen monitors, because they require new ones to be able to function properly and it is also necessary to install another 1Gb memory to be able to update the Caniama operating system to a more updated version, since the Firefox browser is outdated.
Aunado a esto el aire acondicionado no enciende y esto también afecta a todos los equipos de computación, ocasionando que se recaliente y dañen internamente los componentes de los CPU y los monitores pantalla plana. Sin embargo en otro espacio existen aires acondicionados y los monitores ya presentan sombras en las pantallas reduciendo la visibilidad de la información del sistema operativo.
In addition to this, the air conditioning does not turn on and this also affects all computer equipment, causing it to overheat and internally damage the CPU components and flat screen monitors. However, in another space there are air conditioners and the monitors already have shadows on the screens, reducing the visibility of the operating system information.
Para finalizar, se diagnóstico que el problema son los monitores pantalla plana, ya que los diecinueve CPU o Chasis encienden y se hizo una prueba instalando un monitor bueno y se comprobó que funciona correctamente. Todas estas fallas en los monitores se están presentando en los otros centros tecnológico ubicados en otras instituciones educativas, lo cual se requiere de una redotacion por parte del organismo encargado que es Ministerio de Educación para de esta forma continuar atendiendo a los estudiantes en estos centro tecnológico.
Finally, it was diagnosed that the problem is the flat screen monitors, since the nineteen CPUs or Chassis turn on and a test was done by installing a good monitor and it was verified that it works correctly. All these failures in the monitors are occurring in the other technological centers located in other educational institutions, which requires a redundancy by the agency in charge, which is the Ministry of Education, in order to continue serving the students in these technological centers. .
