There is nothing better than going for a wee walk to my local park armed with food to feed our feathered friends especially when there is a mission involved that needs to be completed!

That is what happened when I went in search of TWO DIFFERENT BIRDS to fulfil the requirements for #SMaP Show Me A Photo Contest Round 79 from the faboulous @nelinoeva in the Feathered Friends community.

Some of you know that I love the swan family, but there have been changes in the family dynamics since last year.

First up a flock of black headed gulls converged on the food. You might be able to tell that the swan in the picture is not Mr or Mrs (Steve or Susie) Swan of last year. They would have scared the gulls away. No, this is one of their children the pies, and it is actually cutiepie. She and her brother mudpie have stayed at Beveridge Park, whilst Mr and Mrs Swan have relocated a mile away to a larger body of water in a more remote location at Raith Park, and you can see how they are getting on in Meet the Swan family of Raith Lake ~ Susie Stevie and Blueberry Pie!.

The purpose of the post was to enter a picture of two different birds. This is my entry 👇👇👇 and the two birds in question are a Mute Swan and a Mallard Duck.

Do you see the plastic bottle in the background? Disgusting humans! I am forever fishing out plastic waste and throwing in the trash cans provided.

The seagulls are a menace here and cause havoc. So of course they could be in any two different birds picture!

That was almost a cool picture if the whole flying gull had been in the picture!

There was no wind last week when I visited and the pond was like a millpond!

Of course there were other different birds on show, some wanting food and some with other things on their mind.

This was Margaret Mallard passing by a couple of coots. People often get coots and moorhens mixed up as they are about the same size and both are black in colour. However coots have white bills and morrhens have orange or red ones. Can you see the white on the bill of Cindy Coot? Charlie Coot meanwhile was being shy and hiding from my camera, either that or he was trying to see what Cindy looked like underneath 😯

As you can see he was about to walk into the pond. Dafty duck has gone walk abouts and I think is still stuck on Love Island with his harem, so the adventures of MacDonald the Pomerian duck will becoming to a screen near you @murakaamiiii @ayane-chan @lhes @lheeshan06 @iamsequoia @garrethgrey
