Here are a few bird sightings at a local farm for this #featheredfriday by #melinda010100
First up is a nice red tailed hawk hanging around the chicken pasture.
He didn't seem to mind me getting too close for photos.
In the background you can see the chicken enclosure and the hawk keeping one eye on it to see if any chickens venture out...
Meanwhile the spying squirrel has to let everyone know that there is a hawk in the vicinity with his squawww sound.
This has alerted the chicken's air force aka a wood pee wee. Now its time for him to dive bomb.
The pee wee zoomed around the hawk and got him to fly off the perch with a larger starling bomber trying to land on his back.
The predator is gone for now but they have to keep a vigilant watch out at all times.
Now starling bombers from all around are going in for a landing at the main airport.
Time to refuel on the fat flies biting the cows.
Most of these guys appear to be juveniles or possibly molting. I am amaze that the entire surface of this shelter isn't covered in poop yet lol.
Happy #featheredfriday :-)
