šŸ¦‰ The common cuckoo (Cuculus canorus)

  • Cuculus (lat.) cuckoo
  • canorus (lat.) melodic, musical

These birds are very difficult to observe and photograph, at least for me. They are very shy and always prefer to sit on the tops of trees. I took these pictures in the meadows, and as you understand, there are not so many trees in these places, practically none. Hearing the cuckoo, I went in the direction of the sound, the bird was on the other side of the lake, which I could not get around. Therefore, I decided to attract the bird to the sound, turning on the cuckoo voices on my phone.

The bird heard this and flew towards me, but naturally it sat on a low tree, and this girl was very far away. There are very few trees in this meadow. So I had to run back and forth to get closer to the bird. After 1.5 hours I managed to catch up with this male, and apparently he had already gotten used to me. Once he allowed me to approach him at a distance of 30-40 meters.
