Saw this fellow roaming the street of Vancouver today. I assume he is a dove, but I thought most doves weren't wild and didn't survive well in the wild. As far as i know when doves are released they don't have the same instincts as wild birds and don't necessarily know how to find food themselves and often are easy prey for birds at the top of the bird food chain.
Maybe this has adapted well to city living, picking up scraps left behind or it could be a pigeon of some sort.
