Storks (3pics)

Greeting friends.
Not so long ago I told you that at the end of July I was visiting my daughter. When I tell my friends that I'm going to Moscow, they usually ask me about VDNKh and other generally accepted tourist locations. I clarify to my friends that I will be at my children's dacha and then I see surprise in the eyes of the interlocutor. They just don't understand why I'm going so far, but I won't walk around Moscow.
But I digress. I want to show you the beautiful big birds again. Storks. For me, this is an unusual outlandish bird. It even seems to me that if such a bird family had settled in our village, they would either have been killed or simply destroyed the nest and taken the eggs. I just remember how swans flew to the pond in my small homeland in the 90s of the last century. The poachers killed them almost immediately. This is not an isolated case known to me.
Why is this happening? Why don't people take care of nature, birds, and other animals? The thirst to kill, to destroy, to do something bad is very great.

I see that the birds feel completely safe in this village.
Storks must have settled in this village a long time ago because people absolutely do not pay attention to birds. For people, it is already a common story that storks built their nest on the roof of an old water tower.

2 years ago, 2 swallows appeared in my yard. They were looking for a place to nest under the roof. It was interesting to watch them. They were literally 2-3 meters away from me, hovering in one place like helicopters, which is very unusual for these birds. One bird even sat down on a wooden beam under the roof, perhaps it was already ready to stay here to build a nest. But my cat, Butters, appeared and started climbing up the wall to this bird. The bird sighed, said something to its partner and the feathered pair flew away. My granddaughter also saw all this. At first, she was delighted, but then she was saddened.
Building a nest, and choosing a place to live is not an easy task even for birds!
