What would you create with $100K?

Artlist would give $100k to make our creative dream come true

Artlist is going to distribute $100K to one creator to make their wildest creative dream come true, and the campaign is going to end in less than 24 hours. So we have to pitch an idea, and the idea can be about anything.

However, the creativity and originality would matter most and after the deadline (which is October 24, 2024 at 11:59PM EDT), they will shortlist the best ideas, after going through each and every application form submitted. And only one application per person/team/company is accepted, applying multiple times will disqualify the candidature. If the idea is shortlisted, then we will need to create a more in-depth video including full detailed outline and also be available for a short video interview. And then they will declare the Fund winner most likely by the end of November 2024. If our project is not selected, then they would still send a notification email.

So here is my idea to create with $100K - generate 100k smiles by taking photographs of common people of India from the streets, present them a printed copy to generate smile on their face. Every face on the street tells a story, a unique journey filled with their struggles and dreams. These are some incredible people whose lives are often overlooked, imagine capturing their essence in a photograph, freezing a moment that reflects their spirit, and then giving them this treasure in a photo frame, a reminder of their worth and the beauty they bring to our world. When they will hold that Photo Frame, I can imagine seeing their eyes light up, a smile spreading across their face. It’s more than just a photo; it’s a celebration of their existence, a way to say, “You matter to this world”.

To apply for this contest, we need to create a short video (up to 90 seconds) that showcases our concept and then post that on one social media channels like YouTube, Instagram or TikTok. I wanted to create this short video for real this week, for which, I sought help from my wife's friend, who is a Documentary film director. But unfortunately, I had a family emergency, Dad became unstable and we had to go through a lot of difficulties including a hospital visit (that's the reason, I was not much active as well on this chain). But I still didn't want to give up my submission, so I took the help of AI to generate a video for my concept. We can certainly do an in-depth video if the concept is short-listed. Certainly, professional quality video would be needed then and the Documentary film director can pitch in his full team. We already spoke about the idea, and he loves the idea, and said he would do his part if this gets to a final stage. These small acts of happiness matters a lot, it's about human connections, shared moments, spreading warmth and happiness, that comes back to us.
