Now what would this woman be up to now again ?
Silver-Troy is an old guy on pension and he suffers a bit with his appetite.
So the Vet gave us pills, but they don't seem to help him much. Troy is like me, as I have a serious dislike of any pills. But Troy likes jerky (dried wors) and Marian wraps his pills in jerky to try and fool him so that he will swallow it when he eats the jerky. The funny thing is Troy eats the jerky, but he leaves the pill in his bowl.
So Marian tried a new trick and let's see how it worked out.
Dolly, the dog is Troy's best friend and Marian was trying to convince Troy that Dolly was going to try to eat his food.
Look Troy, Dolly is going to eat your food, Marian said, knowing that Troy is very jealous and hoping that he will eat his food before Dolly eats it.
It was a good plan, but sadly Troy simply returned to his "house".
You can imagine what he was sitting and thinking here about her plan, and I think it would mostly have been; Does she think I am stupid, let Dolly eat that food with the pill in it!
Humpf! I am so pissed off with her stupid trick and I will just sit here and sulk until she comes to her senses and gives me a treat with no pill in it.
Such is life with our little Troy, and lately he has lost his sense of direction and bangs his head wherever he goes because his sight is also waning. He is now 17 human years old, and the vet tells us that he is deep into his 80's in dog years. Been with us since a pup and travelled with us during all of our many moves to live in different places.
Lately, when Marian touches a box, Troy starts to shake as he thinks we are moving again, and he hates moving.
So for his sake, we will try to stay here until his end of days.
A wonderful little companion, full of tricks.
