There's a UFO! Turtle I Mean

The husband went out of the house saying he was going to the neighborhood and that he would be back home before it got dark. A few minutes later, we heard footsteps coming, then suddenly the door sprang open. "Come quickly, there's a UFO!" he was catching his breath.

Curious as to what he was referring to, I grabbed Anyeong and rushed out to the yard only to find him taking photos of the sky. Beautiful... That's the very first sunset we get to see these recent days. "So where's the UFO?" I asked as we stood out there to enjoy the sight.

"A turtle I mean. Don't you see that?" he said matter-factly, his eyes still fixated on the sight from afar. Hmmm... okay, no argument there. It's what he saw and who am I to discredit his eyes? LOL! So we stayed quiet, mesmerized by the 'turtle'... errr... the view.

Well, except that our little guy didn't know what we were looking at and all he wanted was to run around. We didn't let him do it though because it would mean his fur would be sweeping most of the dirt on the ground and he just had a bath hours before.

That reminded me of the first week when we just brought him home and I bathed him daily. It wasn't until we went to the vet that she advised us not to give him a bath for at least 7 days because he just got his vaccine.

My bad... but I just loved how he smelled after each trip from the shower.

Anyhow, back to the sky, the colors slowly changed and got a lot warmer as the moments passed by. When it started to get dark, the 'turtle' was no more.

The husband ended up not going to the neighbors and took these photos instead, which of course I'm so thankful about and now sharing here today.

It was one of those evenings where we appreciate the wonders of nature and say our silent thanksgiving for everything we get to see and enjoy for free from the comforts of our home.

Meanwhile, it's a fabulous Friday up here. Quiet one at most, except for the occasional chirping of birds and the slow whizzing sounds of the wind. Looks like we are going to have another lovely afternoon outdoors.
