In the stores I visited I did not find anything I liked, all the mantillas they showed me were simple and did not meet my expectations with what I was looking for, so I decided to look for models online, once I had more clear what I wanted for my daughter, I decide to go to the stores where they sell fabrics to see what kind of material was available to make what I wanted.

Because what I wanted was to make a cathedral type embroidered mantilla, and depending on the material I could get, I would embroider the motifs in the widest part of the mantilla, which was the tail.

So I bought the material to make the mantilla, and then I began to design what I wanted, which was 4.50 meters long and in the widest part which was the part of the tail of 2 meters, which as I said I wanted it cathedral type, which are the mantillas that are narrower at the top, I mean this one had a rounded shape at the end of the tail of 1.70 meters in diameter and at the top a rounded shape of 40 cm in diameter, so the structure as it descended widened to reach the rounded shape of 1.70 meters, in the shape of a cathedral.

Well I can tell you that I was so inspired to make that mantilla, that the truth is that I thought it was spectacular, so much so that the day of the wedding when I arrived at the place where my daughter was going to be arranged, a very well known hotel in Caracas, the hairstylist who was doing her make up, the hair stylist who was doing her make up, told me that I had to make her look so beautiful, the stylist who was doing her makeup said that the mantilla was too spectacular and that I was inspired to make such a beautiful work for my daughter for her wedding, in fact he said other words that are used a lot in my country to express themselves in a moment like that, but they are strong words, very Creole ha ha ha ha.

Imagine that this mantilla was so much liked by those present and those who saw it that that same year my daughter's husband's brother was getting married, and the bride borrowed the mantilla for her wedding and after that she has lent it to two more friends to use it in their weddings and in each of these cases the mantilla was always something that the guests had very good comments, because of the beauty of the mantilla.

Sin lugar a dudas que las personas por lo general tienen sus momentos de inspiración, que puede variar dependiendo de las circunstancias y el lugar, y en algunas ocasiones situaciones muy especiales para que surja esa inspiración creadora, que a lo mejor en momentos diferentes no se puedan concebir esas inspiraciones.

En ese particular puedo decir que si he tenido muchos momentos de inspiración que me lo han dado las circunstancias del momento, porque definitivamente pienso que un momento de inspiración siempre tiene algo que lo motive y lo incentive.

Por ejemplo, cuando se fue a casar mi hija me comprometí a que yo le realizaría la mantilla para la boda, aunque jamás había realizado una mantilla para boda, pero empecé a buscar modelos por internet y también fui a las tiendas que vendían artículos para bodas a ver que conseguía.

En las tiendas que visite no encontré nada que me gustara, todas las mantillas que me mostraron eran sencillas y no llenaban mis expectativas con lo que andaba buscando, por lo cual decidí buscar modelos por internet, una vez que tenía más claro lo que quería para mi hija, decido ir a las tiendas donde venden telas para ver qué tipo de material se conseguía para realizar lo que yo quería.

Porque yo lo que deseaba era realizarle una mantilla tipo catedral y bordada, que dependiendo del material que consiguiera eran los motivos que le iba a bordarle en la parte más amplia de la mantilla, que era la cola.

Es así que compro el material para realizarle la mantilla, y luego empiezo a diseñar lo que quería, la cual fue de un largo de 4,50 metros de largo y en la parte más ancha que era la parte de la cola de 2 metros, que como ya les dije la quería tipo catedral, que son las mantillas que en la parte superior son más angostas, decir esta tenía una forma redondeada al final de la cola de 1,70 metros de diámetro y en la parte superior una forma redondeada de 40 cm de diámetro, por lo cual la estructura a medida que descendía se ampliaba hasta llegar a la forma redondeada de 1,70 metros, en forma de catedral.

Bueno que les puedo decir que yo me inspire tanto para realizar esa mantilla, que la verdad a mí me pareció que quedo espectacular, tan es así que el día de la boda cuando llegue al sitio donde se iba a arreglar mi hija, un hotel muy conocido de Caracas, el estilista que la estaba maquillando se manifestó diciendo que esa mantilla estaba demasiado espectacular y que se notaba que yo estaba inspirada por realizarle tan bella obra a mi hija para su boda, en realidad dijo otras palabras que se usan mucho en mi país para expresarse en un momento de esos, pero que son palabras fuertes, muy criollas ja ja ja.

Figúrense que esa mantilla gusto tanto a los presentes y a los que la vieron que ese mismo año se iba a casar el hermano del esposo de mi hija, y la novia le quito prestada la mantilla para su boda y después de eso se lo ha prestado a dos amigas más para ellas usarlo en sus bodas y en cada uno de esos casos siempre la mantilla era algo en que los invitados tenían muy buenos comentarios, por la belleza de la mantilla.
