Back to La Fila and to hiking

It's easier to go down a hill than up it but the view is much better at the top.

The week has been marked by some little milestones around here. But no less important for that. We finally took Grogu to the vet to be neutered. I also had the first tests done to see if they can determine why I had the blood clots that caused my heart attack a few months ago, and I should get the results in a couple of weeks. And today, finally after months of recovery, I have returned to hiking on the mountain trails near my home. Until now, I had only been walking on flat terrain.

The place where I like to go hiking is just a few minutes from my house, and it is a sector of mountain trails called Parque La Fila. I have shared some hikes there before and the beautiful views of the city from the top.

There are several mountain routes, with some moderate and some steeper climbs. But I did them all without problems. I felt so good.

I went with a couple of girlfriends as my husband was busy yesterday. We were accompanied by Choco, who belongs to one of my friends. He was diligently marking the route. 🐶

And although at this time of year, there are a lot of droughts because the rains have not yet begun, nature always seeks to surprise us in some way. And these tiny white flowers were on the sides of some of the trails.

And we made it to the top. And I felt so happy to be there and able to contemplate the majestic view of The Avila from there once again. And to receive all the good vibes that nature gives us and to feel that I am alive.

We stayed for a while contemplating the view and the Caracas afternoon from the top. And while we were chatting, Choco boldly was barking at a dog five times his size until the owners and their dog went on their way, hehe.

We soon decided to get going so that the darkness would not catch us on the mountain. But first, I took this panoramic view from the top of the mountain.

And this, besides being my account of a test overcome by being able to be back in an activity that I enjoy and like to do, such as hiking in the mountain. It is also my participation in this week's #edtopic: Walking, proposed by @mypathtofire.
