I am delighted to present another item to promote the SpendHBD project - branded nylon plastic bags. My years of experience in product marketing has made me realize the importance of branding. It goes a long way in making new users have confidence in a new product or project.
The Nylon plastic bags would be used for shopping. With the SpendHBD logo on it, people seeing it would learn about the project without someone having to tell them about it. Interestingly, I got two persons today that asked me what the bag was all about. Its a powerful tool for marketing.
Why so important
When we go for shopping since the Nigerian friends joined, some of the shops do not have their own branded bags for the customer to carry the goods. If you have seen a few of our recent shopping pictures like the ones below, we always carry them in black nylon plastic bags. There is no branding on them and it doesnt look great. Check below:
Bu with this new spendhbd branded bags, we can walk out of the shops with confidence. It dignifies the SpendHBD project and gives it a business image. Besides the good looks, its a powerful tool for marketing. A lot of people are going to ask questions just by seeing the bags. From there, we could get signups too.
How to use it
I will give a few of the bags to the shops already listed. But I will give more to the participants of this project - the shoppers. I feel it would be more effective that way. So anywhere or whenever they wish to go shopping, they can carry it. That's one way to spread the word without talking.
I made just 200 pieces of the bag and I choose one color to reduce the cost of printing. With time and more budget, I will print more bags in different colors.
I have more plans to execute in terms of branding. In the future, I hope to produce more branded marketing materials like paperbags, exercise books, jotter, calender, stickers and so on. This way, people could easily connect with the SpendHBD project and we can expand its market and adoption.
We all can do more to promote this project locally. This is my contributions and more is yet to come.
