Yesterday was so amazing. It was stressful, but the stress was worth it; bringing in eighteen new users to hive was just something that gave me joy.
It was a little bit complex because everyone there had never heard about hive Blockchain for the first time; some were automatically scared while some were so anxious and curious to know more, the good thing about it is that we had a positive response.
Immediately I got to the venue, the first thing was to get the seats ready. Gradually, people started coming to the workshop, and I was excited to see them.
The turnout was quite amazing because they were all new users who had never heard about the hive, some took excuses from their work just to be present in the workshop program.
Workshop content.
Just as I highlighted in the previous post, the content of the workshop includes more educating them about hive Blockchain to help them understand what hive is all about and how they can benefit from it.
After explaining there were lots of questions like,
- How do we get to convert our money to Naira?
- How do we fund our account if we want to shop?
- When did hive begin and how did you get to hear about hive?
- Do you need to bring in people for you to benefit?
- Why are they doing this project?
There were so many other questions; it took me more than 3 hours to give them convincing answers to all their question. I now moved into signing them to Hive, I signed up nineteen new users and set up their profiles despite network issues, below their usernames.

Challenges
The area has power issues, so almost all their smartphones have low batteries. Thankfully, I have a 100 Ac inverter with me, and this helped them to charge their phones as we continued the workshop.
While shopping some phones couldn't generate receipts from distraitor site due to poor network, some who would have loved to shop more couldn't due to poor network and battery low.
I also listed @afrishsupermart which was the biggest supermarket in the area.
Afrishsupermart was so happy and wanted the project to continue, even tho she was still a little bit scared.
Honesty, signing up, setting up profiles, and downloading the hive keychain just only me was very tedious, but it was a thing of joy.
After everything we went for shopping.

These eighteen new users got $4 shopping gift each from @beauty197 wallet which is the resources from @distriator in support of the workshop and they were excited, they want to shop more.
There was a positive result because most of them have reached out to me to know how they can add more value to hive and when is our next shopping coming up.
There are also arrangements on the ground on how to continue mentoring them on how they can buy/ pay with hbd and get their discount.
Also, they all want to shop again, so there is going to be the next workshop soon
I can say that the #spendhbd project will attract more users who will more value to hive Blockchain.
It was interesting work yesterday; it wasn't easy to manage such a number of people, but it was really fun.
Thank you, spendhbd team, for this project because it's going to bring thousands of people to hive Blockchain.
