Hello everyone. Hope we all had a nice day? It is Friday and Larry the postman is happy that the weekend is here again. As it has become customary for him to take a look at #history before he resumes his daily routine. Larry finds out the following historical events:
Gentlemen, Larry has a strong passion for sports. He decided to check out if there is anything of note that happened on this day in history. He finds out many of them per se. Firstly, he finds out that Wilma Rudolph, (whose full name is Wilma Glodean Rudolph), the first American woman to win three track-and-field gold medals in a single Olympics, was born on this day in 1940 at St. Bethlehem, near Clarksville, Tennessee, U.S.A.
Larry finds out too that on this day in 1972, Zinedine Zidane, whose nickname is Zizou, French football (soccer) player who led his country to victories in the 1998 World Cup and the 2000 European Championship was born in Marseille, France.
From there, Larry switches his interest to politics. And what did he find out? Brexit!!! He finds out that on this day in 2016, The United Kingdom voted in a referendum to leave the European Union, with 51.9 percent supporting Britain's withdrawal ("Brexit") and 48.1 percent opposing the move; it was the first time a country elected to leave the organization.
Finally, Larry moves down to the Antarctica and finds out that on this day in 1961, The Antarctic Treaty was enacted, reserving the entire continent for free and nonpolitical scientific investigation.
Larry then felt that he has seen enough already. He zoomed off to begin his deliveries.
Let's now move over to the hunt for Larry...
Larry the postman as usual went about his duties delivering mails and am sure you know you can also get paid for just finding him. On my path, I hunted and found Larry in three places, that is, at Listnerds, Leadsleap and CTPX!
