Hello everyone and warm welcome to my Larry hunt for friday, the 1st day of December, 2023. Happy new month everyone. It is officially the last month of the year as well. It is a special edition of my Larry is Alive hunt.
As it is customary in the hive blockchain, every first day of the month hivians power up their hive as a way to strengthen the blockchain and also record huge gains for the account holder who powers up.
On my part, i joined other hivinas to participate in this power up for last month of the year.
That was my hive balance before powering up.

Larry begins his look at today in history from Mexico. He finds out that on this day in 2000, Vicente Fox was inaugurated as President of Mexico, ending the Institutional Revolutionary Party's hegemony since 1929.
From Mexico, Larry goes to the Antarctica. He finds out that on this day in 1959, twelve countries signed the Antarctic Treaty, which declared the Antarctic continent a demilitarised zone to be safeguarded for scientific research.
From the Antarctica, Larry goes to Europe. He finds out that on this day in 1925, Germany, France, Belgium, the United Kingdom, and Italy signed the Locarno Pact, a set of accords designed to ensure peace in Western Europe.
From Europe, Larry goes to the world of industry and innovation. He finds out that on this day in 1913, the world's first moving assembly line appeared, employed in the production of Model Ts at a Ford facility in Highland Park, Michigan; the concept was the brainchild of owner Henry Ford, and it revolutionised the auto industry.
From the world of industry and innovation, Larry goes to the Soviet Union. He finds out that on this day in 1896, Georgy Zhukov, Marshal of the Soviet Union, and the most significant Soviet military leader during World War II was born in Kaluga province, Russia.
From the Soviet Union, Larry goes to Israel. He finds out that on this day in 1872, David Ben-Gurion, a Zionist statesman and political leader who served as Israel's first prime minister (1948-53, 1955-63) and defence minister (1948-53, 1955-63) passed away in Aviv–Yafo, Israel.
Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today from Chile. He finds out that on this day in 1949, Sebastián Piera, Chilean businessman and politician who served as Chile's President from 2010 to 2014 and was re-elected in December 2017, was born in Santiago, Chile.
Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
