Larry Is Alive #142 September 11, 2023: I Am Alive Challenge

Hello everyone. Welcome to monday the eleventh day of the month of September 2023. Gentlemen, it is the beginning of the new week. Larry had enjoyed his weekend after an exhaustive week of activities. He rounded off his weekend by watching the Nigeria vs Sao Tome and Principe match in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. It is the last match for Nigeria in the AFCON qualifiers and they did not disappoint as Nigeria whitewashed Sao Tome and Principe by (6-0) with Victor Osimhen grabbing a hatrick. That also ensures that Nigeria finished top of their group standing too. Now, before Larry begins his day, he turns his attention to have a look at today in #history.

Larry begins his look at today in history from the U.S.A. He finds out that on this day in 2001, 19 members of the terrorist organization al-Qaeda hijacked four planes in the United States, smashing three into buildings (the fourth in Pennsylvania) and murdering about 3,000 people.

From the U.S.A, Larry moves over to the world of channels and tunnels. He finds out that finds on this day in 2008, the Channel Tunnel [Eurotunnel], often known as the Chunnel, lies beneath the English Channel and connects England and France. A significant fire broke out in the tunnel, and full service did not return until the beginning of the following year.

From the world of channels, Larry moves over to Chile. He finds out that on this day in 1973, General Augusto Pinochet [whose full name is Augusto Pinochet Ugarte] led a coup d'Γ©tat that toppled Chilean President Salvador Allende's socialist government.

From Chile, Larry goes back to the U.S.A. He finds out that on this day in 1941, construction began on the Pentagon, one of the biggest office complexes in the world and the home of the US Department of Defense, which includes the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

From Chile, Larry moves over to the world of music 🎡🎢 and entertainment. He find out that on this day in 1977, Ludacris, also spelled Ludichris, whose real name is Christopher Brian Bridges, also called DJ Chris Lova Lova, American rapper and actor who exemplified the Dirty South school of hip-hop, an exuberant profanity-laden musical style popularized by artists in the southern United States was born in Champaign, Illinois, U.S.A. Happy birthday πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰ to Ludacris.

Let me drop a few links of his famous songs for your listening 🎧 please.
The first is titled "Area Codes" which he featured Nate Dogg. Here is it:

The second is titled "Runaway Love" which features Mary J. Blige. Her is it:

The third and last is titled "Move B*h" featuring Mystikal. A typical dirty south school hip-hop song. Here is it:

Finally, Larry rounds off his look at today in history from Syria. He finds out that on this day in 1965, Bashar al-Assad, Syrian President who began to rule Syria after the death of his father Hafez al-Assad in 2000 was born in Damascus, Syria. His father Hafez al-Assad had ruled Syria since 1971 but died in 2000 paving way for his son Bashar to assume power.

Having seen all these pieces of historical events, Larry zooms off to begin his daily deliveries.
