Hi friends in the Hive Open Mic community. It's another wonderful week with the theme Brave Minds by @obaro.
This is me, (originally sung by Keala Settle and the Greatest Showman ensemble), is a song from the movie The Greatest Showman. It was sung by an ensemble of social outcasts, all brought together by one man.
One thing I observed in myself and people around me is the fact that we try so hard to change who we are. Our looks, our personalities and many other things we don't seem to like about ourselves. Eventually, we come to realise that to achieve our goals and to find the love we all desire, we have to accept who we are, build on that and make something of our lives. Often I've heard that your difference is your greatest strength, but it's not easy embracing that difference. It takes bravery and courage to accept who you are. And that is what we are, brave minds, exploring and learning to accept ourselves daily in order to make something of our lives and make our own pact on the world.
This is to everyone feeling alone or dejected, you're never alone. You're strong and beautiful. You're a masterpiece, see it and live it.
