Estimada comunidad de amantes, creadores e intérpretes de la música, llegamos a la semana 153, a distancia de solo tres para completar las 156 del primer ciclo de tres años de este magno evento que, usando la música como herramienta, ha logrado crear lazos de amistad entre músicos de todas partes del mundo, derribando las barreras del idioma y de la distancia geográfica, entre otras.
Esta semana la temática propuesta por nuestro reciente Artista Destacado @ibraimpvzla18, es "Tú estás conmigo". El buscar un tema apropiado para esta semana me hizo descubrir que un alto porcentaje de las canciones románticas expresan desamor, ausencia, pérdida, despecho... No son tan frecuentes las canciones de amor que hablen acerca de la alegría de la compañía, del estar juntos.
Dear community of lovers, creators and performers of music, we have reached week 153, just three away from completing the 156 of the first three-year cycle of this great event that, using music as a tool, has managed to create bonds of friendship between musicians from all over the world, breaking down barriers of language and geographical distance, among others.
This week the theme proposed by our recent Spotlight Artist @ibraimpvzla18, is "You are with me". Searching for an appropriate theme for this week made me discover that a high percentage of romantic songs express heartbreak, absence, loss, spite... Love songs that talk about the joy of company, of being together.
Al fin recordé dos canciones que sí están en la tónica del amor realizado, del amor vivido con la alegría de lo posible. Una "Through the years" de Kenny Rogers y la otra "Te quiero así" de Lani Hall y José José. Por diversos factores que no vienen al caso me decidí por la segunda, pero dejo la primera en reserva para otra ocasión ya que tanto su letra como su melodía son hermosas en extremo.
La seleccionada "Te quiero así" es una canción para cuya interpretación se unieron en un dúo dos grandes de la canción: Lani Hall y José José. Es una canción muy bella que encuentro muy apropiada para la temática de esta semana, ya que "Tú estás conmigo" es subrayar "Tengo a mi lado a quien amo" y esta canción resalta el amar aceptando al otro como es, con sus posibles contradicciones ("Unas veces dominante, otras veces soñador"), sin importar su mayor o menor posesión de bienes materiales ("qué más da rico o mendigo, te quiero por ti"). Porque cuando el que amamos está a nuestro lado no todo será perfección, habrá diferencias, desencuentros, roces, pero el amor, cuando se manifiesta como comprensión, paciencia, aceptación, permite continuar adelante juntos y unidos por encima de las diferencias y a veces hasta a causa de ellas porque se logra la complementariedad.
At last I remembered two songs that are in the vein of realized love, of love lived with the joy of what is possible. One "Through the years" by Kenny Rogers and the other "I love you like this" by Lani Hall and José José. Due to various factors that are irrelevant, I decided on the second one, but I am saving the first one for another occasion since both its lyrics and its melody are extremely beautiful.
The selected "I love you like this" is a song for whose interpretation two great songwriters joined in a duet: Lani Hall and José José. It is a very beautiful song that I find very appropriate for this week's theme, since "You are with me" is to underline "I have the one I love by my side" and this song highlights loving by accepting the other as it is, with its possible contradictions ("Sometimes dominant, other times dreamy"), regardless of his greater or lesser possession of material goods ("what difference does it make if rich or beggar, I want you for you"). Because when the one we love is by our side, not everything will be perfection, there will be differences, disagreements, friction, but love, when it manifests itself as understanding, patience, acceptance, allows us to continue forward together and united above differences and sometimes even cause of them because complementarity is achieved.
