Greetings dear friends of Hive Open Mic! It is an honor for me to join you in a new week of this beautiful initiative that always brings us together around music. This week we talk about local traditions, which I think is a very beautiful topic to develop.
In Venezuela we are full of traditions that are passed from generation to generation and that are part of our idiosyncrasy. It is common that legends become traditions and in the Venezuelan plains there is a lot to talk about and that is why I wanted to bring you the song "El Espanto" by Adeliz Fréitez founder of the Venezuelan group Carota, Ñema y Tajá.
This song is very humorous, but it is inspired by those stories we usually hear where ghostly forms always appear to scare people. However, in this song we are invited to laugh at our own fears, when we hear the description of the fright that appears somewhere in some town.
In addition, I feel very happy because in this interpretation I am next to my father @rayjose who accompanies me with the cuatro and this is another way to pay tribute to the traditions, because in my house, music has been a theme that has passed from generation to generation leaving us all pleasant moments shared. I hope you enjoy my presentation.
¡Saludos queridos amigos de Hive Open Mic! Es un honor para mí acompañarles en una nueva semana de esta hermosa iniciativa que siempre nos reúne en torno a la música. Esta semana hablamos sobre tradiciones locales, que creo es un tema muy hermoso para desarrollar.
En Venezuela estamos llenos de tradiciones que van pasando de generación en generación y que forman parte de nuestra idiosincrasia. Es común que las leyendas se conviertan en tradiciones y en los llanos venezolanos de esto hay mucho para hablar y es por eso que quise traerles el tema “El Espanto” de Adeliz Fréitez fundador de la agrupación venezolana Carota, Ñema y Tajá.
Este tema es muy jocoso, pero está inspirado en esas historias que solemos escuchar donde siempre aparecen formas fantasmales para espantar a las personas. Sin embargo, en este tema se nos invita a reírnos de nuestros propios temores, al escuchar la descripción del espanto que sale en algún lugar de algún pueblo.
Además, me siento muy feliz pues en esta interpretación me encuentro al lado de mi padre @rayjose quien me acompaña con el cuatro y esta es otra manera de rendir tributo a las tradiciones, pues en mi casa, la música ha sido un tema que ha pasado de generación en generación dejándonos a todos gratos momentos compartidos. Espero que disfruten mi presentación.
