Mi querida comunidad de @hiveopenmic, en esta semana 136, nuestra Artista Destacada reciente, @maitt87, propuso como temática "Let's Rock" (Vamos a Rockear), esto me hizo salir de mi "zona de confort musical" (primera vez que canto rock) con la canción "A Volar" (To Fly) de Melissa, cantante de nacionalidad venezolana nacida en Perú, quien, a partir de 1985 fuera llamada "La Reina del Rock" y también "La Madonna Venezolana".
Además del rock, Melissa realizó estupendas interpretaciones en los géneros jazz, pop y balada. Espero que les guste esta versión que hago con el apoyo de mis compañeros de la Agrupación Musical Venezuelan Power (Nombre ideado por @fernanblog) desde Villa de Cura, estado Aragua, Venezuela. Cuando ya teníamos seleccionada y ensayada la canción fue que, pasando por las publicaciones de otros compañeros, aprendimos que "¡Vamos a rockear!" es algo así como "Vamos a hacer musica, vamos a hacerlo bien, vamos a lucirnos, vamos a disfrutar lo que hacemos" y eso se hace desde cualquier género musical. Ya sabemos un poquito más y...también le agarramos su gustito al rock.

My dear community of @hiveopenmic, in this week 136, our recent Spotlight Artist @maitt87 proposed "Let's Rock" as the theme, this made me get out of my "musical comfort zone" (first time I sing rock) with the song "To Fly" by Melissa, a singer of Venezuelan nationality born in Peru, who, from 1985 was called "La Reina del Rock" (Rock Queen) and also "The Venezuelan Madonna ".
In addition to rock, she made stupendous performances in the jazz, pop and ballad genres. I hope you like this version that I did with the support of my colleagues from the Venezuelan Power Musical Group (Name devised by @fernanblog) from Villa de Cura, Aragua state, Venezuela.
When we already had the song selected and rehearsed, we learned that "Let's rock!" It is something like "We are going to make music, we are going to do it well, we are going to show off, we are going to enjoy what we do" and that is done from any musical genre. We already know a little more and... we also have the taste like for rock.
