Ending Insecurity the Easy Way In Nigeria

Insecurity is on the rise in our dear country and the causes of it are not far-fetched, greedy men playing politics. The news nowadays has 80% of it headlines on insecurity from different parts of the country and sometimes we wonder how all these began? What exactly are they fighting for? And how far do they hope to go?. With no contradiction, everyone knows the only reason why a terrorist group would remain concealed or survive for a long period of time is because the government are involved and have made necessarily provisions for their survival for as long as they hope to stay.

When the foundation is faulty, what can the righteous do? Is one of the passages in the bible that speaks about leadership and their failure. To fix what is broken, we first need to fix the faulty foundations, to know the genesis of its rise and what they rely on for survival. All these require years of thorough searching but every problem has a solution, one only needs to fix the lacuna that's opened allowing the invasion of hatred, conflict, rivalry, war, etc. One of the major causes of insecurity is traced to how we perceive religion, humans, ethnicity, history, leadership, etc.

I grew up in the North, there I realized there are many people who take religious teachings to the extreme. On the outside they preach peace, on the inside they preach war and deceive the vulnerable youth that fighting for their greedy course would give them eternal reward. Like the quote I made earlier of a faulty foundation, the teachings of the youth grow up with sprout hatred inside of them and they're ready to kill for what they believe being taught from childhood. People who have lived older than the youth bring up history on how one tribe killed their ancestors and should take revenge for them. The reviving of forgotten history starts to bring enmity between and among tribes.

"When the righteous rules, the people rejoice" this is another passage in the bible that speaks on leadership. The truth is, the kind of people we appoint as leaders indirectly affects the state of the country. If the people rejoices at the leadership of a righteous person, it means the opposite is the case when an unrighteous person rules. Unrighteous here means someone who doesn't fear God, whose conscience is dead. While we were growing up, there was a song we sang which said "the devil never kills you for free, it always takes double of what has been given to you". Yes, the devil always seeks a refund of that which he had given to an unrighteous leader and death is always one thing he seeks for.

I know dealing with insecurity is a tough thing to do but once the foundation is fixed, things fall into places. The sad beginning would be killing the previous leaders who have been corrupted, all of them. I know that's a harsh judgment but that's a good beginning. Secondly, put God first and make rigid laws about anyone who kills whether for religious sake, for jungle justice, or any reason at all. All judgment should be done by the law and not individuals or groups of individuals. Finally, have jets flying around the skies 24 hours, kill anyone terrorist groups or group that impose threat hiding in the thick Forest, seen around people, this flying jets would remain functional through out every year and borders would be strictly monitored. But in all, God first, and that's where righteous leadership begins.
