Heaven knows I properly confirm all details I receive especially money related ones after this incident πŸ˜‚.

Hello guys, una good morning from my side. Today (08/09/22) will be marked down in history books because of the death of the only verified queen among all other queens known to mankind; Queen Elizabeth II officially passes on gloriously back to the creator.

I call it a glorious exist because she was just four years short from clocking a century old. Anyways, may God Almighty grant her related families the fortitude to bear the loss and may the soul of the departed rest in peace, amen.

So back to @hivenaija prompt, the question on this prompt flooded back memories of harsh, heated events I've experienced and I just want to talk about everything but... Damn, I might not stop writing πŸ˜’. I will leave the past where it is, before it begins to break my heart all over.

One rollercoaster situation

Recently, I started warming up to the idea of finding my spotlight on the internet and I decided to do so by being an entrepreneur; I create and sell print-on-demand designs on redbubbles and on amazon for the main time 😁.

So one day, I was going to take the bold step of buying a mentor's service instead of just flooding my head with too much information from YouTube. After the intensive webinar, I DMed the online tutor and he did the usual stuff; encouraged me for taking the bold step and sent his account details for the payment to be made.

You know how these guys can be sweet mouthed πŸ˜‚

My dear brethren, I picked up my phone, copied the exact account details, and made the transfer swiftly. Taking a screenshot of the alert, I sent it to the tutor. He asked me to exercise some patience so that he could confirm the transfer on his end. One hour passed, then two and it was getting late for a flawless USSD transfer not to have reflected into the recipient's account.

I texted the tutor if the problem wasn't an issue associating his account because it was clear from my end that I made a transfer and it went well. That was how the dude checked the account details he sent to me and discovered he made a mistake with the last digit of the eleven figured account number.

Ehn, you say!?😨
Na so we begin run kiti kiti, run kata kata, to retract the transfer that already happened roughly thirteen hours earlier. I was so scared to lose my last #10,000 just like that. I was just downcasted and cranky about the whole situation.

Thankfully, the account details turned out to be the tutor's girlfriend's and she just nicely sent the money to the right account - and by that, I meant my account. I totally lost interest in the information I wanted to acquire so I collected my dough back abeg. It felt like I won a lottery because the situation just made me lose weight πŸ˜‚.

Obviously, the turn of events wasn't in anyway my fault because the dude just had one task to fulfill that day; send me your account details. It was left to him to have cross checked the number he was supposed to send. But as I think of it again, I feel I should have asked him to check again.

Conclusively, I guess we were both in a hurry to just get the deal over and done with. I need the information he had and he needed the money I was willing to submit in exchange. I also learned a lesson to be careful with my own money transfers and to ask anyone I'm making payments to, to be sure of their details.
