NEW EXPLORATION
Hello Hivers, how are you today, this time in my blog I will share a not ordinary travel experience that I usually shared with you? This time is An Urbex Story, this is my first time sharing this kind of blog and I also discover that there is a community for this kind of topic named Urban Exploration. Upon scrolling the blogs inside this community I found out that these are kind of interesting stories, knowing what happened and what is inside those abandoned buildings or areas makes me excited to make one of mine. So here I am dropping my first entry π .
The Ancestral House
Welcome to my #UrbexDiary 001 | The Ancestral House. Last Saturday, April 9, 2022, we had an outing with my colleagues in Daan-Bantayan in the Northern Part of Cebu. In this exploration, we plan to stay in the Ancestral house of one of my colleagues for this entire outing.
My colleague informed us that their no one living in the house for years and there is no electricity in the house but there is a water supply, she ask if it is ok with us staying here. She added, that there is a caretaker lookup of the ancestral house so we don't have to worry. It's not usually a place to stay for travel but it makes me excited to stay in this place. It's more adventurous for me to experience this kind of setup. So we decided to stay here.
The house is located 500 meters away estimated from the road it is an isolated place, no neighbors are seen on its perimeter just the house built in this wide vacant lot. Our service car needs to enter this muddy way going to the house to make it safe.
This is us approaching the house, we are getting excited when we saw the place. It is so beautiful, it has a province vibe, you will a see cows, goats and hear the sound of the birds. As you observe it is a gloomy day. Actually, there is a Low Pressure at that time but the outing is life π .
The house is locked when we reached it, glad that Joji had a copy of the key to this house. Upon entering, this is the situation that welcomes us, scattered beddings are on the floor and clothes as well. Joji was shocked and never thought that this is the situation in their ancestral house. She assumed that scattered this was owned by the caretaker. As you observe I think the caretaker didn't perform his task.
Joji called the caretaker of the house to have a quick clean-up drive and to file the scattered beddings and clothes properly. We didn't throw any of their things but arranged them while waiting for the caretaker.
This is the kitchen area, no utensils have been seen just an empty jar on the kitchen top. The kitchen sink was removed and even the fixture was like a faucet. Joji didn't know why they remove it. There is a freezer in the area that is blocking the way out in the exit. They put it there so no intruders will come inside the house.
They also had a dirty kitchen, located in between the main house and the extension building. In this kitchen, they used firewood for their cooking. Above this kitchen is a chimney where the smoke goes out. This metal chain in the last picture is pulled out to open the airway of smoke in the chimney.
The comfort room is only beside the kitchen area, there is still a lavatory, mirror, soap holder, and water closet inside. it's functioning but no water running inside the house.
The house has 5 rooms in total, the 3 are the main structure the other 2 are the extension building. This is the inside of the first room. It was a bedroom before but now It become a storage room. There is even a wheel borrow inside the room. And they hide here the kitchen utensils of the house like the plate, glass, and kitchen utensils.
This is also a bedroom, inside of it is a double-deck bed and some foam and beddings material. There are also clothes and some files in the room. the room is small so I didn't take a good picture.
The Master bedroom is more spacious compared to the other bedroom. Inside it are the gas stove, electric fan, beddings, clothes, and other materials of the family living here before. I don't know if their family Joji still using it but I think not.
This is the fourth room located in the extension building beside the dirty kitchen. As per Joji, it was a storage room before her grandparents for their materials for fishing. like fishnet and other equipment. But this time as you see inside of it is an empty bottle of Beer. I think her relatives love to chill also with Beer.
This is the fifth room located on the second level of the extension building of the house. This house was a guest house before and intended for relatives who visited the house. Inside the room are the pillows, foam and other beddings used by Joji's relatives.
The house has a Roofdeck system where you can view the beautiful scenery of the ocean and the green grass of the empty lot. I think it is more beautiful if the weather is good. This could be the perfect spot to chill and unwind.
The house has a small porch in the front, where you will also love to kill time. The porch is facing this amazing view that everyone loves. This place is so quiet and it is a perfect place to take a breath from a challenging life.
( By the way this House and Lot are for SALE its almost 2 hectares lot area. if you are interested I can refer you to my friend )
