My RE&E Journey in Auz & Te Waipounamu: Day 8, Whack, Whack, Baby!

Another day of golf on a crowded golf course, as you can see by the picture. There were two groups of players on the first hole, so we wandered over to #10 and started there. The complete round of 18 holes took a bit over 3 hours, despite dealing with winds of 20 miles per hour that gusted to 30. I'm familiar with playing in those conditions and adjusted, whereas my youthful companion took a grip-it-and-rip-it approach. He wound up buying drinks as the high scorer for the day.

Then it was off to a light dinner, or tea as the refer to it here. Plenty of helping hands offered to assist with a molten chocolate cake, but it remained closely guarded.

Tomorrow, it will be back to Adelaide for big city adventures. Catch you then.
