The photo that I show here corresponds to the sandy cliffs near the Antofagasta (north of Chile), in the sector known as “La Portada”. In this region the Atacama desert meets the sea; due to the aridness of the terrain the landscape looks quite alien. In contrast to the barren terrain you see some sea birds flying around. I also show the image in black and white format.
La foto que muestro hoy corresponde a los acantilados arenosos del sector conocido como “La Portada”, cerca de Antofagasta. Pueden observar lo árido del terreno, el cual luce casi como si fuera de otro mundo. En esta región es donde el desierto de Atacama, termina en el mar. En contraste con el paisaje estéril y árido se observan muchas aves marinas, unas de ellas capturadas en la fotografía. Presento también la imagen en formato en blanco y negro.
