This week while checking the #inleo calendar I found out that there is a special day to honor Grandparents, those special beings that flood their grandchildren with love and pampering; impossible to forget the pampering of grandparents and their complicity for the grandchildren to eat a little sweet, because it will not hurt them according to their words, it is impossible to forget the attention that my dear grandmother had for her grandchildren, she took great care in preparing delicious chocolate desserts and kept fruits for us.
We lived in different cities and during school vacations we would go to visit her and play with the cousins, the vacation period was the most awaited time by everyone in the family, because we knew that we would see grandma and the cousins again, it was the perfect occasion to play and eat delicious desserts and fruits that were not available in the state where we lived; when the time came to return home, I felt a little sad because I would not see grandma and cousins until next year, I keep beautiful memories of my school vacations and the days of games and fun with the cousins.
Esta semana mientras revisaba el calendario de #inleo me enteré que existe un día especial para homenajear a los Abuelos, esos seres especiales que inundan de amor y mimos a sus nietos; imposible olvidar los mimos de los abuelos y su complicidad para que los nietos coman un poco de dulce, porque no les hará daño según sus palabras, es imposible olvidar las atenciones que mi querida abuela tenía para con sus nietos, se esmeraba en preparar deliciosos postres de chocolate y nos guardaba frutas.
Viviamos en diferentes ciudades y durante las vacaciones escolares ibamos a visitarla y jugar con los primos, el período de vacaciones era la época más esperada por todos en la familia, pues sabíamos que nuevamente veríamos a la abuela y los primos, era la ocasión perfecta para jugar y comer deliciosos postres y frutas que no habían en el estado donde vivíamos; al llegar el momento de regresar a casa, me sentía un poco triste porque ya no vería a la abuela y primos hasta el próximo año, conservo hermosos recuerdos de mis vacaciones escolares y los días de juegos y diversión con los primos.
My grandmother was a brave and hardworking woman, she had several children and therefore many grandchildren, on vacations it was fun to gather all of us in her house, it seemed like a fair, children and young people of different ages playing and running in the living room and patio, what times those were, remembering them makes me nostalgic, but it is these beautiful moments that made each trip a nice adventure despite the long hours on the road.
Her day began in the early hours of the morning, with her inevitable cup of coffee, then she would grind corn to prepare the delicious arepas on the stove, according to her narrations since she was young she was always working and active helping her mother in the housework, this helped her to mature and learn to prepare delicious dishes, although she is no longer here her memory lives in my heart; besides being a hard worker, she was wise and very observant, the smallest detail did not escape from her keen eye.
Mi abuela era una mujer valiente y trabajadora, tuvo varios hijos y por ende muchos nietos, en vacaciones era divertido reunirnos todos en su casa, parecía una feria, niños y jóvenes de diferentes edades jugando y corriendo en la sala y el patio, que tiempos aquellos, recordarlos me da nostalgia, pero son estos hermosos momentos los que hacían de cada viaje una linda aventura.
Su jornada iniciaba a primeras horas de la mañana, con su infaltable taza de café, luego molía maíz para preparar las deliciosas arepas en fogón, de acuerdo a sus narraciones desde joven siempre estuvo trabajando y activa ayudando a su mamá en las labores del hogar, esto la ayudó a madurar y aprender a preparar deliciosos platillos, aunque ya no está su recuerdo vive en mi corazón; además de trabajadora, era sabia y muy observadora, el más minimo detalle no escabapa de su ojo visor.
Grandparents are an inexhaustible source of love, wisdom and respect; their wise advice has the right words that come at the perfect time to guide us when making a decision or face the difficulties that arise in life, the experience they have acquired in their years of life and the knowledge transmitted by the ancestors are the basis of their wisdom to guide their children and grandchildren in different areas of life.
Paying tribute to grandparents on their special day goes beyond a celebration or a gift, having clear that they are important details that make people happy and with which we express love and affection, who does not like to receive gifts, but beyond a gift is the care and attention that we must provide to grandparents when they reach a certain age and make their longevity a pleasant stage with quality of life in which they receive affection and love from their loved ones.

Los abuelos son una fuente inagotable de amor, sabiduría y respeto; sus sabios consejos tienen las palabras adecuadas que llegan en el momento perfecto para guiarnos al tomar una decisión o enfrentar las dificultades que se presentan en la vida, la experiencia que han adquirido en sus años de vida y los conoicimientos transmitidos por los ancestros son la base de su sabiduría para orientar a sus hijos y nietos en los diferentes ámbitos de la vida.
Homenajear a los abuelos en su día especial va más allá de una celebración o un obsequio, teniendo claro que son detalles importantes que alegran a las personas y con los cuales expresamos amor y cariño, ¿a qiuén no le gusta recibir obsequios?, pero más allá de un regalo está el cuidado y atención que debemos brindar a los abuelos cuando llegan a cierta edad y hacer de su longevidad una etapa agradable con calidad de vida en la cual reciban cariño y amor de sus seres queridos.
