Stocking up on CraftInk Cards - and becoming an INKubuster!

Oops, I'm doing it again! - Just as my previous post on this topic revealed it without shame or regret, I'm captured by deep excitement, coupled with a bit of FOMO regarding this incredible-looking new game CraftInk. Sure, let's be honest, which game is not hot when you're just discovering it, particularly if you have the chance to be among the very first ones to do so? So maybe it's understandable that I'm giving in to this urge, and started buying cards.

Wanna be an INKubuster?

Since it offers you a bonus 5 packs for buying a hundred, that's what I wanted to save up for (in other words sell some other stuff somewhere else...) But then I saw this post where the dev team offers a bonus at even just 42 packs: a crazy badge!!! (Am I outing myself as a sucker here?)

But no, this badge will help you fight INKubus (who or whatever that is)! Oh, and also it will also qualify you for an additional pack, dropped to you in the last minute before the mini-game starts. (Indeed, there is a game-before-the-game kinda thing.) And if that wasn't enough, being an INKubuster will also qualify you to become an NFT trading card yourself in this play2earn game. So that should be equal to 25 extra cards, right?

The Joy of Ripping Packs Open

I know, it's not exactly the same thing as being seven years old, and spending your weekly allowance on a candy bar and a few packs of cards... only to change your mind in the last minute, and forgo the candy bar so you could afford one more pack. And then, tearing the wrappers open, which would - MAYBE - reveal among all the junk that nobody wants, one of those precious, highly coveted ultra rare, glittering holo foil, most badass cards. Well, today I had the pleasure to do this not once, but forty-two times. And let me tell you, I enjoyed every single one of it!

From Crap to Gold

So clearly, the most common of the common cards are FIllink cards. I have no idea what they're good for (if anything?) but they come in various background colors, and I have thus accumulated 39 of them. Great! Next up are your more typical characters, such as the Chess Player, the Bad Miner (why bad? not sure...) or that annoying Foodporn Star, of whom I have eleven by now. My favorite here is of course Podcat, in spite of its horrible stats. But who knows, it may be just what I'll need when the game gets going.

What I got really excited about, however, were the real Hiveans I have already talked about last time. And now I'm holding these guys in my hands, muahaha: @quekery , @ravenmus1c , @solymi , and @balte . And they are not even among the ultra-rare ones, of which I also happend to get a few: the Crypto Whale which some don't even believe they exist, the Coffee 2 Go, and the Band Aid. (You wouldn't expect them to be that rare, right? Weird!)

Okay, What's Next?

Right, at some point I may have to look up the basics of the game, to get an idea if there's even a point in having the same card 15 times. (That would be the case for the Pencil in my deck.) Also, which are the cards I'm still missing. And then of course, what am I going to with what I got myself? But I'm sure all of these can be bridges to cross once I'm about to fall off the side of one. Until then, let's see if I still get around to rearanging my funds, so that I can buy a hundred packs...
