Exactly one year

Exactly one year ago I joined the Hive community when I launched the playtoearn game Splinterlands. I only had to play a couple of battles to realize that I had found my favorite blockchain game. The best one on all the blocks I know. And it still is a year later. A year ago, blockchain games could be described as "earn" and no "play." Things are more or less better now, though not much better than a year ago. But Splinterlsnds has turned this opinion upside down in my mind and shown that blockchain games can live for years, not months at most. Bring pleasure and money at the same time, not just money from clicking on the mouse or keyboard and constant red eyes from lack of sleep).

one year on Hive HiveBuzz

It's very symbolic that before @hivebuzz posted about my one-year stay on Hive, I decided this morning to write a post about the Splinterlands monster in my avatar. I wasn't playing this monster at the time, because I was playing in the Bronze 3 league at the time (it's really ineffective there), but I put it on my avatar for a reason.

So why the RAGING IMPALER?

It's very simple, I'm a Taurus according to my zodiac sign and I like my zodiac sign! Those who know us Taurus close to each other probably understand what I mean.) In short, we are very calm and kind, but before bullfighting with a bullfighter. So here I had no idea how interesting I would find RAGING IMPALER after a year of playing it. I'll show you below what he can do and maybe you'll love him as much as I do!

Stats

Stats RAGING IMPALER

With mana at 6, many would say there are many monsters that are much better in terms of stats, either with Heal or Shield, which my favorite doesn't have. But not everyone has Enrage and Piercing starting at level 3. Those are the two abilities that make it invincible at times, especially if used in the first position, but in conjunction with a tank with Taunt ability in any other position. Or if the opponent scatters his attack to different positions, but mostly not to the first position. I'll show this a little later.

Advantages over others

  • A bundle of the two abilities Enrage and Piercing. It's a really good one. No matter how fast your opponent is, if he hits the Impaler, the first Enrage ability activates, so the Melee attack and the Impaler speed increase by a factor of 1.5, rounded up. This means that the next hit will most likely be made by him. And since that's where his second Piercing ability comes into play, the enemy's tank will either be destroyed right away or be finished off by the monsters that you've set up ahead of time.

Below is a battle in which you can see how Impaler passes ANTOID PLATOON with the shield and shield ability. Normally this is a problematic monster for Melee attack, but not for him.

Watch Full Battle

  • Communication with other monsters. In conjunction with monsters with the Inspire ability, which increases Melee attack, RAGING IMPALER also increases this figure by 1.5 times and becomes just a beast with an attack of 6-8, which is difficult to resist. This can also be seen in the battle above.

  • Speed of attack when Enrage is triggered. When it grows by a factor of 1.5, mages are the best option not to miss it. But since they often have lower speed than melee monsters, the Impaler will likely be faster and more effective if left one-on-one with the mage.

  • It is a neutral monster. This is probably its main advantage. You can think of uses for it in your favorite strategies of your favorite elements.

Here are a few more battles involving the RAGING IMPALER:

Conclusion

I really like Splinterlands for its variety of monsters and the game tactics that come out of it. I've noticed that the thicker your deck, the faster you can surprise your opponent in your next battle. So each monster can have a very important role in its own particular time. But are they worth their price or rental price? Sometimes yes and sometimes no. That's why I suggest you consider RAGING IMPALER as an alternative to expanding your favorite monster deck, or at least try it in some battles to see if you like it as much as I do.

If you have any questions or would like me to test and write about a particular monster in a similar vein, feel free to post in the comments and I will!

Have a great day everyone! PEACE!!!
