Splinterlands has again changed the gaming landscape or should I say the Splinterlands game assets have. Splinterlands NFTs have existed on a few Blockchains & Dapp Markets that's nothing new. Multiple Games using the same game items that's a historical achievement.
For those unaware NFTs are perfectly capable of this, use in multiple games, however to the best of my knowledge this was until now a hypothesis, or at the very least incredibly rare to see actually implemented.
I have been studying NFTs on a variety of blockchains for several years, tested a few hundred P2E games, & Splinterlands still just threw me a curve ball.
Ill get into Splinter Forge a new 3rd part game using Splinterlands Game items (NFTs) as well as some other Splinterlands news in this write up.
Finally at the end like in all my write ups there is a related NFT giveaway for a few lucky readers.
Disclaimer: None of the following is intended as financial advice I'm not nor have I claimed to be a financial advisor, always do your own research before investing.
Splinterlands & NFTs
So say you happened across this article none the wiser on what NFTs actually are.
NFTs Non Fungible Tokens are a digital asset or file of a myriad of types which have been minted on a blockchain. Not only does this include Images, Videos, & Music, but also game items which can be utilized in P2E games.
Splinterlands is a very popular P2E title based off the HIVE blockchain with its assets on a myriad of blockchains.
What todays write up is concerning particularly is 2 other HIVE Blockchain game Dapps also utilize Splinterlands assets.
So below is my referral link to Splinterlands the base game.
You will need $10 for a Spell book allowing your account to have monetized assets such as NFTs & or crypto.
The term P2E Play 2 Earn Games gets thrown around quite a bit, what does that really mean?
A P2E in its simplest sense is a game typically on a blockchain in which users can earn crypto or NFTs for playing. Earning crypto & NFTs doesn't = Profitable, not all P2E titles are worth playing.
Having been playing Splinterlands a few years I can say, I have made around $20,000 in profit, & given away thousands of dollars worth of Splinterlands NFTs to readers.
The beauty of these Blockchain based assets like Splinterlands NFTs or crypto is that you retain ownership of the game assets you purchase or earn.
Since the asset can be viewed as a part of the game, yet can be made independent from it, ownership of those assets take on a different meaning then traditional in game items.
Given this is facilitated through blockchain, the asset (game item) qualifies as an NFT, & the in game currency qualifies as either crypto, Merits, or Credits.
Not all NFTs exist on a blockchain that will facilitate NFTs that will work with multiple games or Dapps, However the industry is ever evolving Blockchains ever improving.
This is how any number of projects / Dapps Can & have utilize the same game assets, its just rarer with NFTs.
Understand this is a 3rd party game using Splinterlands assets meaning its not the same company, just be aware that's an important distinction.
The other day I was scrolling the Hive Engine trading Feed, like a jilted ex through a social media feed (I'm Working it out), I happened across FORGE.
Since I'm basically like Crypto Crazy I needed to get to the bottom of Forgium.
That link brings you to a site prompting HIVE wallet log in, lo & behold its a game in its alpha stages using Splinterlands assets.
Using your Splinterlands Summoners & Monsters + a new Splinter Forge Hero Unit (More Later) you fight Boss Runs for a FORGE reward.
You see my Mage hero above is used with Splinterlands NFTs in the Boss Battles, its stats are effected by Weapon & armor NFTs.
My first thought great more money what's this going to cost?
It appears since its in Alpha It game me 100 Packs of each type 200 total & 100,000 FORGE to play around with for free.
I have already opened a few Alpha Packs messed with the Item Re-forge option, equipped my hero & did a Boss Run.
You see my Wizard along side my Splinterlands cards?
The Wizard Warrior & Archer characters are blank place holders with base stats, you equip Item NFTs to your Place holder of choice to improve its stats.
Legendary Wand Lvl 1 gives a higher Magic attack stat for the Wizard.
The way I view it weather monetized yet or not its smart to at least familiarize yourself with these kind of things.
Genesis League Sports
Wait isn't this about Splinterlands a phantasy card game, what's with the sports?
In Splinterlands players earn SPS which gets automatically staked when claimed, staked SPS qualifies users vote weight for game change votes.
A number of other rewards go to SPS stakers including a 3rd party HIVE game right now is doing a promotion for SPS stakers.
Simply sign into this game with your HIVE wallet your playing Splinterlands with & thus staking SPS on.
Once done once & signed up you will begin generating GLX daily for staking SPS in Splinterlands.
Splinterlands SPS & DEC
Just a quick tutorial on SPS / DEC the two forms of Crypto (in Game Currency) in Splinterlands.
The Reason (In game currency) is an incorrect term is the same reason an (in game item) is the incorrect term they are assets used in game that exist on a blockchain.
IE the (in game currencies) are a form of Cryptocurrency, the (in game items cards) are a form of NFT.
So DEC was the original Splinterlands crypto a bit rudimentary, but it worked.
As crypto you can transfer the DEC in & out of game savvy crypto users can convert it to 🤑.
SPS is the more recent Crypto released over a year long airdrop, SPS has game governance capabilities, & once unstaked can be withdrawn or exchanged for DEC in game.
It is through SPS we can vote on game changes votes weighted on our SPS staked in game.
A myriad of Blockchains support Splinterlands assets but as I understand it the majority of the work goes down on HIVE with Project off shoots on ETH like RUNI or BSC, with WAX having some NFT support options.
I'm a nerd so I enjoy that complexity, but I make things complicated for fun.
You can get away with basically just using HIVE to play Splinterlands, the ecosystem spans further then HIVE if you want.
What does the gambling system designed for roulette have to do with a TCG? Nothing!
Dont you get it, with Blockchain its all connected!
Above is the Wiki for the Martingale & yes I donated.
Support projects you care about right.
Enough charity cannibalism, back to betting systems.
On the HIVE Blockchain we have a few casinos, one of which Krypto Gamers accepts DEC & you can bet on roulette with intervals of either 1 DEC or 0.1 HIVE / 0.1 STEEM.
With a martingale system I bet 2 DEC if I miss I double it until I hit a win.
You see how instead of betting 16 I skip straight to 32 when I won that my earnings instead of 2 where 18.
My system is a Modified Martingale modified 2 fold, the first is the player rewards GAMER generated for playing. The second modification is I infer where best to double a bet a second time for profit.
When I miss 2 Bets putting my bet to 8 I loose I will on occasion bet 32 like I showed above.
This doesn't always work but a deep enough DEC pool in ones wallet & the odds of a 48.8% failing that many times with a game with provably fair mechanisms is near impossible at a certain level.
Statistics being what they are it is a mathematically possible though not significant chance of going bust, just be wherry.
New in game Market
Splinterlands assets are different all HIVE assets really are different, see on like ETH or WAX NFT Packs are a form of NFT. HIVE for complex not worth your time reasons NFT packs are often alt tokens.
An Alt Token (Crypto) is functionally on HIVE more complex allowing for Smart Contract customization necessary with NFT packs.
Why put you to sleep with nerd stuff?
The significance of this new in game market featuring packs land plots & totems cant be understated.
Understand the nerd stuff, revel in it, so we can bask in the awe of technological achievement.
The market is still really cool.
Gamers have been against micro transactions, loot boxes, season passes, & incomplete buggy titles.
So you likely assume anything new with money + games = Bad news, for this reason some misinterpreted NFT = Scam. This is a bias founded from the same place all biases are, one of ignorance & usually fear.
Here is what we know now thanks to Blockchain Specifically the HIVE blockchain.
I can play Splinterlands with my Splinterlands asset colection.
I can play Splinterforge with my Splinterlands asset colection.
We can rent Splinterlands assets to fellow players & the assets can be burned, blended, or sold. You can make money playing Splinterlands for its daily rewards.
Ultimately when Splinterforge fully rolls out it seems to be the case there as well, keep in mind this is an alpha stage testing phase meaning space is limited & rewards may or may not be permanent.
SPS can generate GLX from genesis league sports for staking SPS in Splinterlands which also generates additional rewards & grants you game change votes.
All of this is thanks to Brilliant Beautiful Blockchain.

Splinterlands HIVE monetized blog
Splinterlands is a great game, good to their fans, & integral to the HIVE ecosystem. Splinterlands as well as HIVE make it possible for me to monetize a gaming hobby.
Reddit WAX web wallet fee workaround
WAX web wallet adds a fee for new wallet creation?
When we have questions no one thought to ask, like how to avoid WAX web wallets 5 WAX fee, reddit already has the answer.
You can send an email to WAX Support: email@example.com, they would help you bypass the fee.
Bam problem solved, the full reddit post can be found below.
Now bellow is the WAX web wallet once again free to sign up for with the workaround above.
WAX NFT Giveaway Instruction
Every time I post on HIVE I do a few NFT giveaways, the first & larger 5 count WAX NFT airdrop URL which goes to the first user to click the link.
The next 5 WAX NFTs are given away to the first 5 users to comment their WAX wallet address, once I see the comment Ill send you a single WAX NFT followed by a reply stating I have done so. This is for the first 5 users only to leave their WAX address in the comments.
To get the Temporary CPU WAX NFT is simple if your one of the first 5 commenters participating in the WAX NFT giveaway by leaving their WAX wallet in the comments just drop a #waxcpu or otherwise specify you would like CPU.
Simply burn the NFT to start the temporary CPU delegation, if to complex I can directly rent some for your wallet if necessary, though its in your best interest to use the NFT it grants a higher CPU delegation.
WAX NFT airdrop (WAX)
This link below is claimed for free by the first WAX wallet user to click it, if your the lucky reader that claims the Airdrop please let others know via comments it helps.
All WAX NFTs featured in todays airdrop are connected to recently updated & active P2E games.
Splinterlands has to many recent updates to list & they just threw a party in Vegas, suffice it to say the projects healthy.
You can use this market to send the assets from WAX to your game account.
I have another 5 WAX NFTs to give away to the first 5 readers whom comment their WAX wallet.
Why WAX first WAX was at 1 point free, it still is with that workaround above its easy to use & with like Splinterlands assets. If you haven't paid the $10 for the Spell book you can still sell the prize on WAX for free. On HIVE you may have trouble which is why I opt for the WAX NFT airdrop / giveaway.
My intent is to have these giveaways have NFTs connected to active projects likely to retain & or appreciate in value. Absolutely senseless to giveaway pointless NFTs in what sense is that a prize.
Stash Pass Weedcash NFT giveaway (HIVE)
Every time I post anything on HIVE I do several NFT giveaways, one such giveaway is my #stashpass NFT giveaway.
I have been dealing with crypto for around 3 years, in that time I learned a few things.
I sell NFTs when the asset I'm trading into is down & buy when its high, for instance WAX.
When I sold that pack WAX traded at $0.045 USD at the time of writing $0.06, not much but when done in sufficient volume its noticeable.
Consider I now buy those packs I sold for $2.48, I can now buy for $1.49, do you see how being aware of this is advantageous.
Now that's $1.48 in either stable credits or flux DEC, now look at DEC prices.
The average price point difference on DEC is down $0.001 from its high 1 month ago. WAX however is currently $0.025 under its high, from their price history I trade out of DEC into assets I HODL or sell for WAX.
Understand these markets like all markets have at least 2 asset prices to consider the value of your transactional medium & the value of the asset in question.
Keep in mind this is just my own process, I take financial risks doing this, nothing is fool proof.
What do you think of multiple games utilizing the same game assets? Shout it out in the comments.
Oh Hold up Just caught this trending on Twitter...
Here now you get something this holiday season.
