Here's my 55th Splinterlands Guild Brawl Report for PIZZA 2 The Deep Dish. 🍕⚔️🛡️
(This report is unfortunately going to be a slightly delayed one. At the point of my typing of this post, the current Guild Brawl just concluded 😱. Unfortunately, the past week of Halloween activities have preoccupied me much more than I anticipated. 👻🎃
It's the ✨🏅✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion Fray no.12✨🏅✨ for the 38th week in a row for me.
The table below shows my accumulated tally of battles in Fray 12 since I first took it up 😁. 📊📊📊

After that singular 💯 "winning run" with just that one opponent last week, the overall win rate inched up slightly 🤣. I'm not complaining of course, every win is important and helps the guild achieve as high a final position as possible.
I've got a bad feeling about my brawl though, too many "perfect win streaks" have been going on for me. Just as Icarus flew too close to the sun, I anticipate a hard crash down to earth 😅.
As mentioned, I've been really quite busy this week and it isn't really all because about Halloween 🤣. That being said, I haven't had the time to spend my MERITS and that'll have to wait till my next guild brawl report. I'll be able to open at least 2 packs by then. Hopefully I'll actually be able to pull something great! 😁

As usual, I make an extra effort to rent ✨Gold Foil Chaos Legion✨ cards that align with my daily focus during Guild Brawl days.
Hopefully Lady Luck continues to shine on me 🍀🍀🍀 and I don't get too many weird ruleset combinations which will completely screw up my limited Gold Foil selection of cards. (🤣 yeah, that's how terrible I am, to have to rely on luck for my wins)
Some thoughts I have about my exploits in the Gold Frays. 💭🤔
I feel like I'm winning because my opponent has even less Gold Foil cards available to him than I do. Personally, I find it slightly flattering to me. The teams I field are definitely not the absolute strongest, but more of what is available to me.
It also doesn't account for HOW I win some of the fights though. I've realised that a fair number of them are from opponents who just gave up and did not even face me in battle. ⚔️⚔️⚔️
My choice of picking up the Gold Foil frays is to simply give the Guild a better chance at accumulating more wins, seeing especially that IN THE PAST, many Gold Frays were left empty. Even if I were to lose everything and win just 1 match, it would definitely help in securing a better finishing position overall. 🥇🥈🥉
With all that said, lets FINALLY get down to a review and quick analysis of my battles 🧐⚔️🛡️, or in some cases where my opponent fled 🏃🏻💨 - non battles 😨.

LOST.
Urghhh. This was a really close one. It was down to 1 hit at the end to determine who would win.
In fact, had MY units attacked first instead of the opponent's, it would have had been a clear victory for me. Both my Bertrol Gobson and his Deeplurker had the same 4 move speed (thanks to his summoner buff) but the Deeplurker went first instead and 1 hit KO-ed the Gobson.
Had that not been the case, My Bertrol Gobson would have take out the Hardy Stonefish (and at the same time activated his BLODDLUST) and the Deeplurker would be facing my Venari Knifer instead. That would have been an easy win for me then.
As it was, RNG is a cruel mistress and I practically lost to the toss of a coin. 😡😭
LOST.
This was an absolute crushing defeat. The ruleset made it such that my choice of units to pick were drastically reduced. Had I been able to access all my units, I could have fielded a better lineup that would have had a fighting chance.
Oh well 🤷♂. When life contrives to screw you over, there's pretty much nothing that can be done. This was a really restrictive game where only 1 splinter (death) was available too. Not much choice for me here.

Like I said before, I had a really bad feeling about this brawl. Too many good runs meant my luck would eventually run out. As expected, I was REALLY UNLUCKY when it came to those battles. Had I gone first in the first fight, I would have won easily. The same goes for the 2nd fight in which such restrictive rulesets appeared that hampered my ability to field any sort of a decent team.
Sigh. 😭
I feel it's important that Guilds are able to fill out all the frays - even the significantly "harder" Gold ones. It is very likely that most guilds (at our level) skip the Gold frays completely, or are unable to even field a team if they've got no Gold Foil Summoners. This therefore leads to a better overall score.

Well, fortunately (some self consolation to myself 🤣) my 2 losses wouldn't have made a huge difference to our overall position. The first placed guild was really dominant this week with a massive 6 game lead over us. They also managed to play 8 more games, which points to the unfortunate reality that we aren't able to fully fill out our frays.
Speaking of which, that probably means PIZZA 2 is recruiting 😜 and looking for active players who can commit to attending every single guild brawl. Do hop into the PIZZA DISCORD if anyone is interested (or knows someone who is).
