Netherlands faced South Africa, and Netherlands emerged victorious with a 2-0 win. The second match between Sweden and USA kept fans on the edge of their seats as it ended in a goalless draw, leading to an intense penalty shootout. In a nail-biting finish, Sweden prevailed with a 5-4 win on penalties, securing their place in the quarter-finals.
