Hello friends of hive today I share with you a little bit of how we changed the fuel pump of a Chrysler 98 neon with my brother @wilfredojgf I have been a little ful with diligence that's why I had not posted

This past Sunday I got up early with the intention of getting gas because here in Venezuela fuel is not available regularly at least where I live. A neighbor told me that they were pumping gas at the pump near my house, for those who do not know here in Venezuela there are two ways to buy fuel, subsidized and international price. Subsidized has a cost of 0.25 bolivars per liter and the international price is 0.50 dollars per liter I was saving a place for the subsidized, but I had the tank almost full and the neon 98 is not easy to get the gasoline almost everything is under the car I loose the clamp and put a hose to remove the fuel I empty the tank after I empty it I put 5 liters and it does not turn on, I put 2 liters more and nothing I put 15 liters and it still does not turn on I check to see if it is sending gasoline and it comes out but little I finish to complete the tank and nothing. I check to see if it is coming and I see that it comes out very dirty and little. It is when I tell my brother to help me to lower the tank to check the fuel pump.

We proceed to disassemble to check we push the car and lift it to have access to the gas tank the neon does not have access to the pump only below its line filter and connections everything is through there. We began to disassemble empty the tank again, loose the connections, and loose the ankles that hold the tank, we lowered it and proceed to remove the fuel pump that is subject to a thread which we release with a time strap and a pliers pressure a trick for those who do not have the tool, after we remove it we realize that it is overheated and Obtruida bad sign for that piece that is noted by the color that takes the piece becomes dark, Not knowing what to do thinking it was just dirty I did not know where to get the spare part because on Sundays after noon no business or establishment works I turn to a friend who sells spare parts and I call him and check if he had it and thank God if he could not leave it for another day because he had errands to do I look for the pump with a neighbor and we started to assemble, We cleaned the ducts with tiner and a compressor, cleaned the injectors with the machine, cleaned the line filter with tiner also, and then mounted the pump and mounted the tank and connect everything, we made the fuel and ignited thank God everything was fine.

I was able to do my errands as I expected at 3:30 in the morning and then I will tell you about it, it was a bit cumbersome but not impossible, then I will tell you about the errands that is another odyssey here in Venezuela.
